Amazing place, Living the life of the rich and famous!
I have stayed at some really nice vacation rentals, but this one truly is the best one I've ever rented, The deck with the pool is yours completely for your visit, and there is nothing like sitting on your huge deck by your private pool watching the sun set on the Pacific, and debating the best view.
The photos shown are accurate, but do not do justice to the charm of the place. When we saw it, I felt as if I had won the lottery. Actually you can see the Pacific Ocean from every room, even the bathroom of the master area! The home is very well equipped, the kitchen and grill are both really meant to be used; many nonperishable staples were there on our arrival which made stocking up much easier... and given Hawaiian prices, that is very good thing.
The property is very clean and well maintained, and stylish. The owner lives in the upper half of the house and is very responsive, clearly takes pride in the property, and makes you feel very welcome.
During our 7 day stay, our family (2 parents and 1 adult child) alternated between eating in and out, Barbara even had a picnic cooler and ice packs that we made use of for our days at the beach. We would head to the farmer's market open most days, and stock up on local produce and fresh bread,
There are 2 separate living areas, perfect for a family, or even 2 couples. The 2nd area is smaller, but it has its own bathroom and coffee area.
The location is convenient, you do need a car, but it is a 5-10 minute drive into Kailua-Kona, and about 20 minutes from the airport. We rented snorkels for the week from Snorkel Bob's in town, and did a lot of beachcombing, and snorkeling, and touring... The western part of the island is mostly bordered by a reef, so you can just walk out and see tons of fish. We did go to Volcanoes NP during our visit, but it is a long day,
