Clean, serviceable house, good location for our purposes. Owners were responsive to requests. Backyard is not shaded.

We rented both sides of the duplex and really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very easy to work with!

The duplex was exactly as describe. The beds were clean, nice and comfortable. Very cozy - kitchen just right. We found the 4 days and 3 nights very pleasant - the location was perfect. Close distance to the UT campus...all the restaurants and 6th street activities. We will call on this property next time we are in Austin...hopefully yard maintenance will be mowed so we can enjoy the front and backyard grill next time. Hook 'em Horns!!

We had an amazing time staying at this house. This was my first experience with home away, and will definetly do this again. Possibly at the same house.

This home met our needs. It was clean and everything was in very good condition. It was close to everything in south Austin (the best part of Austin), but you still need a car to get around (unless you are a super athlete). The neighborhood was safe. Carlos was very accommodating and even allowed us to drop our bags off early while he was still getting everything ready.

We had a group of 6 reuniting coming from various locations throughout the US and it was quite comfortable for all of us. The living room is spacious and allows for everyone to sit down, and even though there was only one bathroom it worked out quite well (that is probably more based on the cohesiveness of your group, though).

If you are looking for a super fancy place with amazing art/decor and a top of the line chef's kitchen, this is NOT the place for you. If you are looking for something that is functional, comfortable, reasonably priced, fits a larger group, and you love south Austin this place is GREAT! I would stay again.

We had a nice time at the Rabb house. Loved the huge yard and shady trees and appreciated the free internet. There is bike rental nearby, which comes in handy. Beds were very comfortable, cute furniture, and lots of big windows that let in sunlight all day long. The best feature was the location -- very close to downtown, but you still are in a quiet neighborhood. Hope to come back someday!

One of the reasons we chose this property was because of the positive reviews. However, our overall experience was very disappointing.
Although the Texas summer creates a challenge regarding pests, upon entering we were faced with the immediate task of killing large waterbugs in the living area and the kitchen. When opening the back door to access the laundry room we had to dodge several wasps, and kill 3 nests soon thereafter. Although it was convenient to find poison in the pantry, it would have been nice not to have to deal with these details. We also had to buy a package of toilet paper upon discovering we were left with half a roll for the entire property; an unacceptable detail to request of any paying guest.
We wouldn’t recommend this place for more than two people since only the master bedroom has decent storage space for clothing. One room had drawers full of miscellaneous items and children’s toys; the other had neither closet nor drawers. A minor aesthetical blip was the large picture frame with no picture inside, giving us concern that we would be held accountable for the missing artwork. While the photos are accurate, they do not capture the bleak feel created by the décor, nor the minimal comfort afforded by the place.
On the plus side: the location is very convenient, the towels are new and very nice, and the master bed is comfortable. But given the price and strict requirements, as well as the issues above, we regretted our choice and longed for the comforts of a reliable hotel.
