A great spot

We had a great stay at this apartment in November 2009. Location was great for East Village, LES and SoHo. All easily reached on foot.

The apartment itself offered everything we could have needed and we had a very comfortable stay. Fresh flowers in three of the rooms were a lovely touch.

We did notice the outside noise (which, to be fair, wasn't THAT bad) on the Friday and Saturday (we were warned by the owner of this in advance) but we stayed out quite late ourselves so this wasn't a huge issue.

Would definitely stay here again.

Verything was just like we expected it to be from the description and the many positive reviews. Nothing to add.
We will surely recommend and be back if we get a chance to visit NYC again.

Clean as a whistle & great neighborhood.

This apt is everything it appears to be in the photos. Clean & well stocked with the basics. We especially appreicated the neighborhood with it's many resturants and bars within walking distance. The owners were great. They were promt in asnwering any questions we had prior to our arrival and had the extra touch of fresh flowers upon our arrival. I would use this apartment again in a heartbeat.

Our little home in NYC

Review Submitted: October 26, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
David and Denise greeted us at the door, gave us the tour and then the keys to this wonderful apartment. Fresh flowers, gleaming kitchen and bath, spotless floors and plenty of clean linens! I cannot think of anything that was missing. The neighborhood is great, many interesting places to eat and nearby groceries, a park, and easy to catch a taxi from. We walked our legs off and were always so happy to come "home" to our own little flat in Manhattan!

Lovely apartment

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely East Village apartment. Right from the start we felt very taken care of. David explained everything thouroughly and told us to call if we needed anything (we didn't).
The bed and couch were very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were brand new and spotless. The location was very convenient to get around NYC because the bus and subway were close. We wre able to walk to pick up groceries and to enjoy the local restuarants.
We would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful!

My cousin Bianca and I visited New York and stayed at this apartment 4 - 14 September 2009 and cannot say anything else than wonderful! Not only the apartment, the lower East side and New York itself, but also Denise and David were great and made us feel right at home. They will welcome you and guide you through the apartment, ensuring you to call them if you have any questions or if you need anything.

The apartment reflects their warm personality: the minute we walked in, we felt right at home. The large couch in the livingroom is perfect for relaxing, watching tv or reading and is also very comfortable to sleep on. The bed in the bedroom is great! I have had 2 hernia's so my lower back can be very painful, especially after walking a lot, which we did, but the matras was very comfortable and supporting: I slept like a new born baby ;-)

The kitchen is bigger than the picture shows: I loved the sink and the tabs, there is lots of storage space and a big fridge and stove. Outside the kitchen window you'll have a view on the Financial District and below you'll see big green tree tops ;-)

Also the bathroom is really nice with again beautiful tabs and lovely lights. Btw: all the lights throughout the apartment can be dimmed.

It was pretty hot during our stay, but the airconditioning is great so insite the apartment it was nice and cool and comfortable.

The lower east side is a very relax, layed back and friendly neighbourhood. The neighbours in the building were great too, as well as the people who live and work there. We never felt unsafe, even walking the streets late evening hours.

The L train (a 10 minute walk to 1st Avenue) will take you to Union Square/14th street, at which station you can take several trains uptown or downtown. The L train also takes you directly to Brooklyn.

We will definitely return to enjoy NYC (still a lot more to see ;-) and would love to stay at this apartment again.

Denise and David, thanks again for everything! XOXOX

Expat Manhattanite

we stayed (2 adults and 2 kids) at the apartment for 3 nights and it exceeded our expectations! as someone who lived in the east village for 10 years a few years back i knew the location was going to be perfect. the east village is Manhattan's most "bohemian" (for lack of better word) and eclectic neighborhood and the apartment is situated in the heart of it - great local parks, restaurants, bars and cafes (sushi, mex, tai, etc, etc.), clubs, landmark oddity stores, colorful characters walking the streets and what have you. walking distance from lower Broadway shopping and Soho gallery areas and walking distance to subways to the rest of town.

the apartment itself was perfect, newly renovated, hardwood floors, AC, coffee machine + grinder (!) hi-speed internet (bring your own laptop), 2 TVs, local phone use and even light dimmers throughout! the owners were great - helpful and communicative, before, during and after the visit.

i will definitely recommend it to all my friends and anyone that loves NYC and prefers lower Manhattan.

Peter

We ? NYC!

Review Submitted: July 23, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We are a family who stayed in the apartment for two weeks in june/july. The apartment was in good condition, and the location was perfect for discovering Manhattan. We found the neighborhood in East Village very nice, and we felt safe walking in the streets even late nights. Everything, such as subway, bus, markets and restaurants were just around the corner, and Denise and David were most helpfull. We would like to come back another time, and will recommend the apartment to our friends.

We Loved Our East Village Experience

Four on the Road Sacramento, California
Review Submitted: July 15, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Our family loved our 4-night stay in the East Village thanks to this cozy apartment that we made our home in NYC. It was perfectly situated, closely located to delicious little cafes and restaurants. There was even a farmer's market in the park on Sunday just two blocks away for fresh fruit, bread, and veggies. We have two teenage boys and they loved the vibe of the neighborhood and their daily dose of New York pizza from the corner pizzeria. We felt very safe at all times and everyone we met in the area was friendly and helpful. We were close to all major lines of transportation and there was lots of nightlife within walking distance. We loved our stay and truly appreciate David & Denise making this place available for us to visit. We highly recommend this clean and cozy apartment in the East Village.

Great NYC experience

My partner and I enjoyed 8 nights here on our very first trip to NYC. The apartment was even better than we had hoped - very clean and recently renovated, filled with fresh flowers, and in a great neighbourhood with great bars and restaurants.
The nearest subway station, 2nd Ave, is about eight minutes walk from the apartment - you can also walk west to Astor Place station. We had no problems getting to anywhere in Manhattan from this location.
David and Denise were super helpful and were very keen to make sure we had everything we needed. I would happily stay here again.
