I hadn't been to the Cape in quite a number of years. When looking for a spot to vacation with my daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter age 2 1/2 and grandson age 8 months, I was looking for something on or close to the water. This home had everything we were looking for. The home itself is so well equipped that we didn't look for anything that wasn't there. It made dining at home with 2 little ones a pleasure. Weather was great; the ocean was warm and gradually got deep. Perfect for the 2 1/2 year old to practice her "swimming" & find/release ocean critters. A great introduction for her. Great area to get some exercise as well as town is a mere 10-15 minute walk away. Would recommend this home to anyone looking for a restful, quiet time "on the Cape" without having to cross the bridges

My husband and I stayed on this property and found it so accessible to the beach and enjoying the sun (you could relax on the outside deck, screened porch, lower level patio or on the beach!). The property was spotless and beautiful, especially the landscaping work. The town was exactly what I wanted from a Cape stay, yet within a quick drive you had access to Sandwich, Falmouth, Hyannis --just perfect location. Avoiding bridge traffic is yet another big bonus with this property.

My father and I loved your home. It provided a great location for a small family reunion with relatives I had not seen in over 50 years. One of my cousins said it was one of the nicest rentals she has seen in Cape Cod. My father lived in Onset as a teenager and staying in your home brought back wonderful memories for him. He had many interesting stories to tell about the hurricane of 1938. Thanks again for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

PERFECT LOCATION !!! When they say Onset is the Cape's "best kept secret" they aren't kidding ! Three older ladies shared this lovely home for a fabulous week and we couldn't have been happier. All the comforts of home were there - plenty of space, lots of seating areas, screened-in porch was perfect for one lady who couldn't stand much sun and was great for nightime with no bugs biting us ! Best part for me was the outside deck with comfy adirondack chairs and just a few steps to the sandy private beach! Beautiful harbor bay views. Easy access to the Cape bridges, walking distance to town pier for Cape Canal harbor cruise and restaurants and plenty of shopping in area. Lots to do or do nothing but relax on the deck or beach and just enjoy the sights ! Hoping to make this location a yearly destination ! Even though "Hurricane Irene" delayed our vacation by 2 days, we had a wonderful time at this perfect beach house! Everything was provided - we just brought our clothes & food.
The house & property was very clean and well-cared for - minor damage from the hurricane was quickly repaired.
Walking off the deck right onto the white sandy beach was a delight & the screened porch was perfect for relaxing in the evening.
The owner was a joy to deal with - quickly responding to all our concerns & questions.
We walked into town almost everyday (even the little g-kids) - the only time we used the car was to go to the grocery store or to drive over to Sunset Cove to watch the beauiful sunset.
We've enjoyed family vacations on the Cape for the past 10 years and this home and area ranks as my #1!

Already booked two weeks for next summer - can't wait to return! Onset is a charming little town with its movie night, weekly music concerts, Nana's ice cream store , little shops to browse, pizza place. Nearby Rt. 25 (Cranberry Hwy) has everything you could need - Walmart, grocery store, local & chain restaurants, gas stations, wine store, mini golf etc.

My family and I just returned from this beatiful spot in Buzzards Bay. The house is very comfortable and has everything...cookingware, beach towels, everything! We loved using the kayak to go to the island and had great time flying our kite. We have two little ones that had a blast down there. Lots of crabs and sheels in the sea. Water is warm for New England and the beach is quite and kept clean. The house itself has amazing views, we loved the screend porch were we had breakfast, lunch and dinner...it was so nice to feel the fresh air first thing in the morning. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

house located on Onset bay. The home has both an outside and enclosed deck which we used twice during inclement weather.
The beach is only steps away and the view across the bay is
gorgeous. With numerous sailing craft at anchor and under way
there is always activity on the water.
The owner was very pleasant and accommodating prior to and during our stay. The rental is fully equiped with all the necessities for an enjoyable vacation.
We highly recommend this property for your next vacation. It is
ideally located for beach activities and sightseeing on the Cape. We
are looking forward to renting this beach house in the furure.
