Amazing home, easy walk to Hanalei Bay Beach and Heart of Hanalei Town

We had SUCH a wonderful time at your home!!! Every detail was excellent -- we had plenty of space for all 10 of us, the rooms were beautiful.... LOVED going to sleep and waking to the sounds of the birds in the garden and the beautiful views... Everything we needed was in the kitchen and it was wonderful being able to eat all of our meals together as a family on the Lanai (stocked up at Costco in Li'hui, but there was a small grocery 5 min walk away and organic grocery the same distance). Less expensive safeway 15-20 min drive away. The 3 cousins (6, 7 and almost 8) spent almost the entire time when we were at the house down in the craft room and in the carport, either making crafts or creating stories involving boats out at sea and dramatic rescues, etc.. Quite delightful!!! The snorkeling, boards, biking gear all came in very useful, etc, etc... Your home is just BEAUTIFUL! Wide array of books that came in handy for planing hikes, identifying local birds, pleasure reading, etc. When we had questions before the trip, Susan was a quick email away (my preferred method of communication) and when the town lost water during a huge storm during our stay, Susan was a quick phone call away ready with suggestions on how to handle the situation at the house which made it very easy to deal with... actually a delight as the three beautiful waterfalls we'd been watching turned into 17! GORGEOUS!!!!
The local area is my favorite part of Kauai which is why we chose to stay there... Hanalei Bay is breath-taking. If you follow the road to the end, you'll arrive at Ke'e Beach which is a beautiful lifeguard watched cove with wonderful snorkeling. Tunnels Beach and the Wet and Dry Coves are just before this. All along the drive are the beautiful mountains teeming with waterfalls... don't miss the local Farmer's Market and local activities... everyone is so friendly. Toward Li'Hue, Priceville (we skipped everything there, might be some great finds) is a 15 min drive as is the lighthouse. I highly recommend Na Pali Sea Breeze if you're interested in going out boating/snorkeling -- we didn't actually get to go out the week we were there as the swells were too high but they are top rated in The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook and their customer service lived up to their rating - they worked so hard at rescheduling our large group of 10 three different times to try to accommodate for the weather and put safety first...
When returning, I won't stay anywhere else!!!

Perfect Vacation Spot

What a treat! Short walk to town, short walk to the beach. Everything you could wish for is right here. Great cruiser bikes, boogie boards, surf boards mats, chairs and a wonderful home too. Little art studio downstairs that kept my daughter so happy when we were not on an adventure. We were sad to leave this part of paradise! Owner could not be kinder, book it if you can!

Its easy to find Aloha at the Hale Ha Ha house

The Hale Ha Ha house is great for family reunions. It was just the right place to reconnect with people ranging in age from 6 to 72 with a full range of activities for everyone. We especially appreciated the personal service and attention that Susan provides and the use of the rec. gear (bikes, boogy boards, fishing gear, etc.) she keeps in the car port. She makes you feel welcome and is a great host. The location is just the right distance from the beach and nearby shopping - you really don't even need a car.

Hale Ha Ha was everything we wanted it to be. We had a family reunion of eight people with two grandparents, a family of five with 3 kids ages 6-11, and one uncle. There is space for everyone to either be together or be alone-- It has a well-stocked kitchen and lots of beach toys. The owner goes out of her way to provide a wonderful experience for her guests. The location makes it easy to get to the beach for surfing, kayaking, fishing, swimming-- and then take a shower in the outside shower on return.
The house is beautifully appointed with a Hawaiian theme throughout.

Fabulous Hanalei 5-bedroom home close to beach and to town

Incredibly clean, excellent location (couple of blocks from town, couple of blocks from gorgeous beach / famous Hanalei Bay, one block from weekly farmer's market). Location amazing as Hanalei town has NO hotels, nearest hotel is next town over, so it has a great surf town / secluded feel to it. The owner of this five bedroom home is lovely and so attentive to details -- she runs a clean, beautiful simple and spacious home with lots of lanai space (screened in porches). Lots of fun perks / amenities come with the house (outdoor shower with view of sky, bikes to use, free house surfboards, arts and crafts room stocked with paper / paints etc for kids in basement, free snorkel equipment and beach towels and mats and umbrellas, even extra suntan lotion, ping pong and pool table, outdoor grill.... ).

We enjoyed your rental house tremendously. It was so comfortable and clean and well-equipped. It was awesome to have usage of the bikes, boards, etc. while we were there. We bike every day to the beach, stores, out to dinner. So nice to have such attention to detail from the host and have such a great central location in Hanalei. We'll definitely be back. Mahalo.

Radford Geezers retreat

This is the perfect Hawaiian beach house experience. So close to the beach and town. The house has everything you need for the best vacation you could ask for. Very clean and well maintained. Can't wait to go back!! One of the guys on our retreat wrote a book and featured the house in the book..."Escape from Hanalei". I highly recomend this property and this destination!

Amazing Wedding

We had our wedding in Hanalei and stayed at Hale Ha Ha we rentend the whole house for our family that came for the wedding. It was the pefect house it accomadated all of us with room to spare. Susan the homeowner is very attentive to our needs and made us feel like we were at home. Our week at Hale Ha Ha was by far my best vacation expierence and we will come back. Thank you Susan you made our wedding very special and we will remember you always..

Hanalei Hale Ha Ha~Absolutely Amazing!

Our family of 12 (7 adults and 5 children ages 10-17) stayed in Hanalei at Hale Ha Ha this summer for two weeks! We had been to Kauai in 1996 and loved the village of Hanalei so we knew we wanted to stay there again. We researched quite a bit to find a house that met our needs. When we found Hale Ha Ha, we knew this was the place for us. Our list of needs were: close to beach, beds for everyone, large kitchen so we could cook, affordable and with views. Little did we know it would also have some things not on our list, but things that made the house and our visit over the top...an outdoor shower, and art studio, a garden, enough bicycles for everyone, beach chairs, mats and toys for everyone, wraps in every room, comfy beds, recycling, homemade shampoo, TV's everywhere to watch the Olympics, a large table to fit the whole family for meals, contact for personal scuba diving instructor and surf instructor, walking distance from everything including the beach, farmer's market, coffee shop and health food store. Not only did Hale Ha Ha have everything we needed and more it was also beautiful. Each morning we arose to a light mist and a beautiful rainbow over the mountain views right outside our bedroom window. Each room is decorated with the perfect Hawaiian decor. Just a block away is the main "drag" for the village with shopping and opportunities to immerse yourself in the culture. A block away going the other direction is the road that leads to the beach and beautiful Hanalei pier. This was probably my favorite part of the house's location. Each morning I would take a short jog or bicycle ride down the road to the pier and beach. The morning views are breathtaking (as it is any time of the day). The house is closest to Hanalei Bay which was probably our favorite beach on the island, but it is also just a short drive to any of the other local beaches. Princeville is just up the road where we went on a zipline adventure. I would also like to mention Susan, the home owner. She went above and beyond to care for our needs during our stay and it is obvious she loves her home because the upkeep of it is meticulous. I would recommend this home and location for anyone and any age. I hope we can go back some day!
