Comfort abounds in this roomy log home: It's easy to relax in the spacious comfort of this rural New England log home. Whether lounging in the living room watching satellite TV or a DVD through the Bose system, or soaking out in the hot tub, or downstairs shooting a game of pool, you and your family and friends will have all the comforts of home. The master suite with its own large bath, plus all the other rooms, are furnished and decorated with a flair for the eclectic, with Asian, modern, and Southwestern art and artifacts all around. And check out the antique tool collection on the wall of the vaulted-ceiling living room with overlooking office balcony. Music lovers, bring your instruments and jam until the wee hours; you won't disturb any neighbors. And when it's time for bed, the tranquil solitude of this sylvan retreat will make for the best night of sleep you could imagine.
Easy to get to, hard to leave: In the heart of the Mount Snow Valley, this house is in view of the southernmost major ski resort in Vermont--or is it the biggest ski resort in Southern Vermont--and an easy drive from New York City and Boston (and an even shorter drive if you're flying into Albany or Hartford). Just 20 miles from the Brattleboro exit on Interstate 91, it is also a mere 21 miles from Bennington. Supermarkets, specialty stores, antique shops, ski/snowboard sales and rentals; and everything else you may need is right close by. Native Vermont arts and crafts, cheeses and maple sugar products are all around. Also: the renowned Marlboro Music Festival, the Vermont Blues Festival, the Deerfield Valley Blueberry Festival, Mt. Snow's two seasonal Brewers' Festivals plus Oktoberfest, Mt. Snow's Bike Festival featuring world class riders and a new Women's Biathlon. And the famous (notorious) Tough Mudder ('It's Ironman meets Burning Man') in May and July. It's a breeze to get here, but you will hate to leave. (That's OK, you can book another stay with us!)
