Modern decor, comfortable furnishings, quirky town
My family and I enjoyed our stay in this Wellfleet home. The description and pictures well capture the experience, except that I would argue the walk from the house to downtown Wellfleet is a bit too far to be part of the advertising plan. I know we clocked it during our stay and I've forgotten since, but it was a good 2 1/2 miles over rolling hills to the center of town. Not a leisurely stroll, and rather dark if walking home at night.
Otherwise, the home is private, with lovely furnishings, updated appliances in the kitchen, and nice spaces for hanging inside or outside. It was very well-maintained and clean. The beds are comfortable and water pressure in the showers is perfect.
The owner is very prompt in her communications and process for renting. She was very accessible with questions or concerns.
Wellfleet was an adorable little town to serve as our anchor for adventures up and down the Cape. We hit all the top tourist destinations -- most of which we found in the travel brochures available in the kitchen and sitting room.
Owner's Response: We are happy that this renter enjoyed our home. This renter missed the fact that the walk to town is via a walking path through the neighborhood and not on the road which is much longer. We wish that they had called us during their stay if they were unable to find the path.
