Fantastic Vacation

Review Submitted: July 21, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
My family and I stayed in the penthouse condo and I can honestly say that we do not plan on stayin at a hotel in Aruba the next time we return.

The condo is directly on Eagle beach. There is an amazing view of the Caribbean from each of the 3 balconies as well as the rooftop deck. We spent every night on the deck in the hot tub which is much larger that the pictures portray it to be.

The condo was spacious and clean. The master suite was perfect and included a huge jacuzzi tub as well as a bidet. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed except for the food which we either brought from home or picked up at the store. There is a grill to cook on so we used that most of the time and saved us a ton of money.

The on-site manager was extremely helpful and offered his assistance for whatever we might need him for during our stay. He is very knowledgeable with regards to the area and gave us some great ideas for places to go and things to do during our trip. The security in place at the Oceania condos made it a very safe place to stay. They do not allow anyone to come into the property who isn't supposed to be there. They also called a taxi for us whenever we needed them to which was a huge help.

The property itself has 4 large swimming pools that are very clean and well kept. At night they are lit up with colorful lights. The ocean is just across the street. The street is not busy at all. There are a bunch of palapas on the beach and never once did we have a problem finding one no matter what time we got to the beach. The codo also features 8 folding beach chairs that can be brought to the beach.

We will definitely be returning to this property for all future trips to aruba. I can't say enough good things about the place!
Owner's Response: Thank you very much Michelle and Joel. We are very happy to hear that you had a wonderful time in our penthouse. We are looking forward to your future visit.

Home away from Cleveland!!!

We literally just returned last night and I could not wait to tell everyone how absolutely PERFECT this condo was for our vacation. We had 6 adults and 2 children at 2 years old. This place is very nice and very accomadating for a party of this size. We brought our nanny and her boyfriend and they were able to have their own room!! The roof top terrace is amazing and the view is perfect. We thouroughly enjoyed the very well maintained pools and tennis court and hit the beach every day! WHAT AN AMAZING BEACH.....our opinion it is way nicer than Palm beach and definitely way less crowded. My wife and I literally ran to the high rise hotels along the beach and it was 1.4 miles. We definitely leveraged the kitchen and had home made breakfast every day and lunch for the kids. I would highly recommend this condo for a family vacation with another couple.

New, Spacious Oceanfront Condo

Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
My family and I stayed in the condo for a week and we loved it. Everything in the condo was very clean and new (including the flat screen tvs). The house and bedrooms were spacious and we had beautiful views of the ocean from the balconies and the rooftop terrace. It was nice to have both a tennis court and a gym on the property. The location was perfect because we were right in between Oranjestad, Palm Beach, the Lighthouse, etc. We found Eagle Beach to be the best beach in Aruba because it was the most pristine but not too crowded. If we ever visit Aruba again, we would definitely come back to this condo.

Convenient luxury on the best beach in Aruba

We rented this lovely penthouse for the week of June 20 - 28, 2009. We found it to be the best choice we could have possibly made in Aruba. We dislike loud and crowded beaches, and Eagle beach is quiet, and there are very few people there. It is one of the most beautiful beaches we have seen, and we have been to many wonderful spots around the world. The water is not good for snorkeling, but there are no waves. There are plenty of huts for everyone.Turtle eggs were hatching when we were there if you were patient enough to wait to see them emerge. The condo is conveniently located across two very narrow roads which one must walk across, but that is really no problem. Traffic moves slowly, and people are considerate. The property is gated so one must learn the code to enter, which means no one can access the pool or grounds unless authorized. The condo itself is beautiful. The best part is the three decks with marvelous views. Each bedroom is spacious, and there are plenty of towels both for beach and bath. There are three thermostats so we could set our preferences for cold at night. People are nice there; security is tight and guards are courteous and careful. The grounds are meticulously cared for, and there is no noise, just beautiful plants and palms with lovely iguanas. We rented two cars, and without them, you would have few options for eating or shopping. All of the grocery shopping is close by (acouple of miles), and the big hotels and eateries aren't much of a drive either. Don't eat at the Tulip, which is within walking distance.....teriible food. Also, the zero entry swimming pool at the condo is beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. There are several other pools on the other side of this condo which will also be part of the complex soon, and more condos to be completed. That means there will be several large, wonderful pools to use in the future. The elevators work quickly and efficiently, and Randy, the caretaker, is an informative man who is willing to help out in any way necessary. If you email the owner, Cindy, she promptly responds and is helpful with any questions you may have. We had a wonderful, memorable vacation and plan to return to Oceania sometime soon. If you are looking for excitement and activity, this is not the place for you. But, if you are beach lovers who want a clean, quiet, beautiful setting, you can not go wrong here. Aruba is truly one happy island, as they advertise.
Owner's Response: Thank you Sue for a nice review. Randy and I are very happy that you enjoyed your vacation. We hope you will come visit us soon. Cindy

We recently stayed in the Oceania condominium complex, but not in this particular unit. This was our first visit to Aruba and we were extremely pleased with the accommodations. The complex is located directly across the street from Eagle Beach. In our opinion, this is the best location on the island. It is as beautiful as any beach on Aruba, and also somewhat quieter than other areas of the island. The people at the complex were very helpful (especially Juan and Buss at the security booth). There are restaurants within walking distance (Tulip was very good), but we did find it useful to have a car. There are many places to see (Butterfly Farm, Donkey Sanctuary, California lighthouse, Baby Beach, to name just a few) and excellent places (Flying Fishbone, La Trattoria El Faro Blano) to eat on the island.
Owner's Response: Thank you Susan for the review of our location. I am glad we can help your family to have a nice vacation. Please visit us soon.

Thank you.
Cindy

June, 2009 Trip to Oceania Resort

Michael WV Charleston, WV, USA
Review Submitted: June 22, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
My wife and I checked multiple internet sites while planning a trip to celebrate our 25th Anniversay, as well as our son's high school graduation.

Property owner Cindy was so easy to deal with, and fully answered all of our questions about the property and the island.

We were not disappointed when we arrived to find a first class top floor condo. There are about 5-6 buildings on the premises, but only two are completed. The remaining buildigns are under construction, but we were never bothered by the workers, who worked normal daylight hours.

I would strongly recommend renting a vehicle if you stay here, as there is not much nearby. It is easy to drive around the island, and the roads are fairly well marked.

There is a beautiful beach right across the highway from the property, and there were not very many people there. If you are looking for non-stop action and nightlife, this is not the place. If you are looking for a beautiful island, relaxed atmosphere, where you feel safe to travel as if you are home, this is it.

The grounds, pool area, and club house are spotless. The inside of the condo was spotless. The guards at the gate, and especially the maintainance man Randy, were very knowledgable about places to go and things to do. Instead of being cramped up in a little hotel room for 7 nights, we had a spacious condo with several rooms, a kitchen, porch, etc.

The only downside was a 4 hour flight from Charlotte airport to Aruba, but the beach view, clear water, and excellent condo were worth it. Thank you Cindy!
Owner's Response: Some clarification:

Eagle beach is just about twenty steps from the resort. The road in front of the resort is not a hightway. There is not much traffic on this road. It is beach access road. The real highway is two blocks behind the resort.

There are many restaurants near the penthouse: Screaming eagle, Chalet Swiss, Le Dome, Le Petit etc. The Divi golf resort is just few minutes away. The Casino is within 5 minutes walk.

The structurlal construction of the rest of the two building in Oceania was completed. The rest is interior construction and will soon completed. There will be no dust or loud noises due to constuction.

Great vacation and great location

BB1959 Dayton, OH, USA
Review Submitted: March 27, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
I rented this condo in Feb for my 50th birthday celebration. The condo was great. Very clean and spacious. It was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchens had everything you would need. We never cooked 1 meal, but if you needed to cook meals, you would have everything you need. The balconies were wonderful. The pool was also very nice. We spend most of the time on the beach, which was very clean. The ocean is just beautiful. We loved Eagle beach because it was never crowded, very beautiful, the sand is like sugar.
We did not rent a car for the week that we were there. We took the bus, which was very easy to use and very convenient. All of the restaurants that we went to were very good. We did not have 1 bad meal while we were there, nor did we have 1 bad experience.
We also took a jeep tour with ABC tours. It was great. We loved it. I only wish we would have taken an all day tour with them. I would highly recommend ABC tours for a jeep tour.
This was a great vacation for me and my siblings. We all would highly recommend Aruba as a vacation spot and would also highly recommend this condo for anyone's stay in Aruba
