I enjoyed my stay. The 70's look was cool and the house is kept up well. The place was clean and the location was just right. I was shock at how many dishes they have at the house, just about everything you need to cook. I recommend taking the back roads (67N from Denver) to get there and not HW 25/24/67 if you want a scenic route.

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this property. Everything was wonderful and the size of the house was fantastic. We had 22 people present for Thanksgiving and there is plenty of room for everyone. The two decks upstairs are really nice with a great view of Pike's Peak. We saw a large mule deer several mornings right off of the back deck, looking in the patio door. We also enjoyed Pike's Peak Cog Train, Bishop's Castle, Glen Erie Castle, Red Rock Canyon, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, etc, etc. There is so much to do and not enough time. We fixed most meals in the wonderful kitchen and just enjoyed each other. We would definately recommend this home and would love to come again. The property managers were great to respond when we had some difficulty with a lock and were very quick in responding to any questions we had prior to going. Excellent experience and property!

We came from Oklahoma and we had one of the best vacations EVER visiting and staying in the Wodland Park area! We had 12 people in our group and there was more than enough room in the house for everyone. The "retro" look was awesome and it brought back so many memories from our childhoods. It is in a gorgeous setting and you do feel like you are in the country. The view of Pikes Peak was amazing! The town is beautiful and there are so many things to do we weren't able to do them all in our 5 day stay. I would recommend this house to anyone who enjoys going back in time...orange shag carpet...PRICELESS!! We did see a few deer the first day there but no bears! We plan on coming back and staying here again next summer! Hopefully this become our annual vacation destination!!!

This is our second stay at one of the properties for Mike and Maggie (who are excellent). We came with our two grown children, their spouses and a granddaughter (9 mts.). Our kids love the "retro" house and it was quite a flash back for us parents. The house was in excellent shape, everything like new. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. Even though it was in town, it had a very private feel to it. We bought groceries the first night and cooked all our breakfast and dinners at the house and ate out for lunch wherever we happend to be at lunchtime. We did all the activities in the area we could fit in our four days. Cog railroad to Pikes Peak (go when the sky is clear), Mollie mine in Cripple Creek, casinos, lunch at Garden of the Gods, Golf course about a mile from the house was EXCELLENT and prices great, shopping in Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City. Everyone was helpful and great service everywhere we went. We had a bit of a problem with altitude and found oxygen drops were very helpful. Found them at the Thyme herbal shop in Manitou Springs. We hated to leave the great temps and return to our south Texas heat of 100+ . We love this area and can't wait to return. Thank you Mike and Maggie. You guys are great!

Our college-age children thought this 70's retro- style house was really cool, especially the shag carpet! The adults appreciated the spacious 2 living areas, the five bedrooms, and the large well-equipped kitchen. It was perfect for our group who likes to take day trips to nearby areas while staying in one place without having to pack and move to another location. The large kitchen made it easy to prepare meals for our large group and the two living areas were perfect for relaxing, watching tv and playing games without being crowded and cramped. An added plus was the large laundry room with washer and dryer. This house, while somewhat dated, was clean and suited our needs. It is an excellent deal for the price. Woodland Park has a super Walmart, plus 2 grocery stores and Colorado Springs is only 15 minutes away for more shopping and dining. There is much to see and do in and around this area...our favorites were Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls and Pikes Peak. Our children enjoyed a day trip to Canon City for a rafting adventure, while the adults enjoyed a trip to the Royal Gorge. Some in our group are avid hikers and found trails off the beaten path within a 30 minute drive of the house. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this area of Colorado!
