Lighthouses, museums, antique shops, parks, zoos, hiking trails, working farms, and charming country fairs are all within a short drive. We will gladly share with you our favorite spots to visit and where the locals go to dine! Let us know in advance if you have a particular interest.

In the evening, cook on our grill or head out to an area restaurant - there's one to suit every taste! Go for a stroll, watch the sun set, or head to Freeport's new cinema. Didn't get to L.L.Bean yet? Go at midnight - they're open 24/7! End your day with a relaxing bubble-massage in our spa and sink into our comfy beds for your best sleep ever. Vacation doesn't get any better than this!

What's special about our property: The beauty of our rental is that you can be perfectly content to relax here at the house without going anywhere else! You're sure to see great blue herons, snowy egrets, cormorants, and many kinds of ducks in our cove. Watch seagulls crack open clam shells by dropping them on the rock ledges. A pair of osprey that nest nearby often stop by our cove to fish. If you're lucky you might see a raccoon, porcupine, skunk, fox, coyote or deer - all of which have wandered through our yard. Our roads are ideal for jogging, cycling, roller-blading or just plain strolling. A moose crossed the road just down the street from us last summer. That was a delightful surprise, but I can't promise you'll see one during your stay!

At night, our skies are phenomenal for star-gazing. Though Freeport is known for it's shopping, non-shoppers will have no trouble enjoying themselves. Did I mention golf yet?! There's a reason the state motto is 'the way life should be'!
