Awesome retreat-Best Pet friendly place!

I stayed at Piece of Heaven for almost a month with my two dogs. This is a fantastic place if you are looking for a quaint, off the beaten path, outdoorsy, and homey environment. Everything is set up with a full kitchen and bath, nice bedding and really all the comforts of home. A simply phenomenal alternative to a hotel room! There is a lovely 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk directly on oak creek just right outside the door. I went birding and walking with my dogs every morning. The location is fantastic as it's just within 2 miles of all the Page Springs Winieries and a host of Audubon sanctuaries. The owners are wonderful. They have a small orchard on the property along with a ton of art. They offer exclusive, private, customized outings in their Hummer too. I had an amazing Hopi cultural and shopping experience--completely eclectic and authentic. The hot tub is available seasonally.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the lovely review. We enjoyed having Sheri and her two dogs, Brutus and Hannah for nearly a month and we do our best to make every guest feel at home. We are blessed to have this "little piece of heaven" on the Oak Creek. We are in the process of modifying our, one of kind, medieval hot tub which will soon feature a reclining lounge seat and bar top for drinks. It is open seasonally and will be up and running by mid March. Kind regards, Chris and Jacquie Robinson

A Very Merry Christmas

Your Piece of heaven was just that we rented this cottage so that we could be close to the snow. It was perfect and cozy. It was very nice well supplied with cooking supplies, dishes and glass ware. My husband, son and granddaughter drove up from Phoenix so we could see the snow on Christmas and this was a perfect location because we only had an hour drive up to the snow and didn't have to worry about getting stuck if it snowed while we were there. We enjoyed walking by the lake and seeing the otters going in the water in the morning. We saw large cat prints but didn't see the bobcats or lynx. Chris and Jacquie were very nice as well. We will return in the summer so that we can take our Granddaughter fishing.

Thanks Chris & Jacquie for sharing this wonderful place with us,

Dr. & Mrs. Jesse McGuire & Dr. Jesse McGuire Jr & daughter Nina
Owner's Response: We are very blessed to have this Piece of Heaven on Oak Creek and very much enjoyed sharing it with the McGuire's over the Christmas Holiday. And we look forward to and enjoy return visits from our guests.

What a beautiful little cottage just minutes away from Sedona and so many attractions. We enjoyed being in such a quiet secluded oasis amidst the cooling trees along the river which flows through Sedona's wine country. It was fun to pop down the road for a wine tasteing and come back to sit in the covered porch and enjoy the birds and simply relax from the days wanderings. The intriguing artwork on the walls, the comfortable bed and the well thought out design of the cottage met all of our expectations and more. We enjoyed cooking in and eating out at the places recommended by Chris and Jacquie. The week was over before we knew it and we were sad to leave this romantic little hide-away. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary with all the conviences of home then you would not be disappointed. Chris and Jacquie are very gracious hosts and try to make your stay a pleasant experience.
Owner's Response: We feel very blessed to have this "piece of heaven" on Oak Creek and strive to make our guests feel they are "home, away from home" during their stay here. We are extremely grateful for the marvelous reviews. Currently we are designing a wonderful new little cubby nature viewing area along the creek, quite cozy for picnicing or just relaxing with a glass of wine.

Cottage is beautifully decorated! This is a great value, only a few minutes from Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Jerome. My boys enjoyed staying in the loft and we loved all of the stonework and other unique landscape on the property. Thanks for the hospitality and good advice on things to do and see. Thank you Chris and Jacquie!

If you are weary about finding a vacation rental on line, then you were blessed to come across this property. My Husband and I took our 9 year old with us and the cottage exceded our expectations. The owners live on the property and take much pride in their beautiful surroundings. Chris and Jaque were more than accomodating and were eager to make your stay as nice as possible. My husband and son fished right there on the property. You are about 15 minutes away from Sadona, yet not stuck in a hotel. We are looking forward to spending more time in this perfect little hideaway throughout the year. It really is a home away from home.................................

Great place for fun family memories!

This place was overall great! My husband & I took our two children, ages 2 & 6. The Pros: private area with lots of trees, seconds away from river/creek, beautiful view, lots of fruit trees, beautiful nature walk, tons of areas to explore and play. This was an awesome property with lots of things to explore! Cons: not child friendly so small children need to be watced constantly(electrical wire around the main property to keep beavers out & loft area a small child could easily fall), no privacy within the cabin, cabin layout is not practical (small toilet area, childrens loft above main bedroom, backdoor is in the bathroom & the backdoor was our most used door), and I was not a fan of the art it made the place a little less relaxing (plus I had to monitor the 2yr old to keep her from ruining anything), the hot tub is by the main house where the owners live so that was not very private. So, overall this place is great if you and your family like going out on adventures, exploring, and spending lots of quality time together outside...if you are looking for a romantic getaway or a retreat to let your kids explore alone this is not the place to go (there are way too many areas for a child to get hurt). But we came for quality family time and had a blast! Things to bring: a small fishing boat, floats or rafts, fishing rods, life vest, water shoes, bug spray (bugs are a given in any area but the spray will help keep the ants away and there are a lot of ants) & camping chairs.

Piece of Heaven

Thank you so much Chris and Christian! The weather in early June was perfect! The AC and fan worked well to cool the entire cottage. The property was clean and well maintained with fruit trees overlooking the bubbling creek. Our day trips to Sedona and Jerome were wonderful. In today's busy world it is essential to be able to kick back and get in focus with what is really important. What a wonderful week we had, the girls loved the nature walk and the creek and I loved not being “plugged in” every second. Now that we are back in Vegas I can tackle the monumental jobs with renewed vigor – thank you. We will try to visit again in September or October.

A wonderful relaxing place

We spent two weeks at this delightful cottage at the beginning of April 2011. We loved the setting with the fruit trees and creek running behind. We ate every meal we could on the covered porch and also sat on the lookout upstairs. The location was excellent for visiting Sedona (20 mins), Flagstaff, Jerome, the Verde Canyon railroad and a day's drive from the Grand Canyon. We also enjoyed a wine tasting just minutes from the property. Our host Chris and his son Christian were very helpful but not intrusive. The cottage is very attractive with art on the walls, several small sculptures and artistic ornaments. The kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped. It had a cosy feel and we felt at home there.

My husband picked the perfect place for our stay near Sedona. The cottage was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The grounds and hiking trails by the springs were beautiful and relaxing. We traveled to Jerome, Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff and even the Grand Canyon during our 5 day stay. We also had a great meal in Cornville and attended a fun wine tasting at one of the wineries located wtihin a mile or two of the cottage. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and the three outdoor areas were nice with tables and chairs to have a meal or relax and oversee the property. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers, friends or relatives.

Beautiful location and cottage

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful, art fill cottage for 2 weeks in February and absolutely loved it. It is so quiet and peaceful there but very close to many local attractions in Sedona, Jerome, Cottonwood and Phoenix.
Even though non of the trees were in bloom while we were there, we can imagine how even more beautiful it most be when they are in full bloom and when they are bearing fruit.
You will not regret your stay at this Oasis, it will be everything you imagined it to be.
