This mountain property is surrounded by majestic pines for a taste of nature at its best! It is very common to see deer and a variety of birds, grounds squirrels and chipmunks in the yard. An occasional bear has passed through the property as well. Enjoy the moment.

We had a wonderful experience staying in this log home-all 13 of us! From my 2 year old grandson to my 70+ husband, there was fun for all. We cooked in the well supplied kitchen, we did laundry in the beautiful laundry room, we played softball and frisbee in the huge yard during the day, and made s'mores over an open fire at night in the fire ring. Relaxation and togetherness were the themes of the week and we were all sad to leave them behind. The boat was fun and Doug and Jean were ready with answers to any questions we had. Our only meal we ate out was at Burgerville in Polson and it was great. The property was very clean and well mangaged. I have already recommended to others they follow our lead and rent this beautiful log home.

Four of us old high school buddies rented the log home for a week in the latter part of June. We are all bachelors in our sixties. We found the log home very accommodating with great amenities and was very well maintained and super clean. We took the pontoon boat out on Flathead Lake fishing for three days and caught more lake trout than we could use. Most were in the six to fifteen pound range. Doug was more than happy to take some of them off of our hands. We also spent a very enjoyable day at the local museum in Polson and were pleasantly surprised at how enormous the complex was. Overall, it was a great week for us and would love to return for another visit in the future.

Gimme Green and Gimme a White Christmas!

We rented the log home for Christmas since we had such a great time at the cabin on Deer Island. Doug and Helen make everything so perfect. We drove up to Blacktail Ski Resort and went skiing for the day. Since the kids are from Arizona they had never seen snow. They had a great time! We decided to have an old-fashioned Christmas and cut a fresh green tree from the woods. We decorated it with popcorn, paper snowflakes and angels. Baked cookies and had hot chocolate by the fireplace. The kids made angels in the snow and a snowman with a carrot nose. For presents we found some neat gifts at the local shops in town. The warmth and smell of the log home gave us a true feeling of an old-fashioned Christmas.
