We both want to thank you SO much for sharing your beautiful condo with us
from 5/25 through 6/2. It was perfect for the two of us and we love the
location. SO easy to get anywhere we want to go. Everything was just as
you said it would be and we had everything we could possibly have needed.
We really enjoyed the Maalaea General Store. It was very convenient for
last minute needs and their food is incredible! We also loved the
proximity of Beach Bums as we could walk down there for a snack/cocktail
after a hot day playing in the sun. Their food is really good and their
staff are very friendly. We spent our 25th anniversary for lunch at Mama's
Fish House. What a wonderful experience and the food is out of the park!

Thanks again and we'll be back!

As first time visitors to the Hawaiian Islands, Maui was our last stop on the journey to visit four islands. The VRBO website detailed the condo to a tee, well appointed with everything required for our short stay of 3.5 days on this beautiful island. From our condo lanai, we had a beautiful view of the pool area below, Maalaea Bay, Kihea across the bay and Haleakala National Park in the distance. While in the condo, we heard constant slapping of the waves against the shoreline, it was music to our ears. The condo was centrally located providing us a great starting point to drive the west coastal road from the south heading north to Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua. We passed many beautiful beaches, saw families and lots of surfers and stand-up boarders enjoying a day in the sun. We enjoyed our numerous stops in the towns along the west coast. The next day, we planned to drive east along the north coastal road better known as the Road to Hana. We would have driven the south loop after Hana but a portion of the road is unpaved and clearly marked on our map as rental vehicles are not covered. To avoid complications, we returned on the same route back to the city and our condo. Our time on Maui was very short and we certainly plan to return for a longer stay to see the many attractions we missed. We will not hesitate to book this condo for our next trip to this part of Paradise. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your condo for our short stay on Maui.

We stayed at this great condo for three nights after spending several nights in o'ahu. The condo looks just like the pictures. It was sparkling clean and had everything we needed for our stay there...even the extras...cooler, snorkling gear, beach towels and chairs. The condo was great. The location of the condo is great if you want to travel to different areas of the island. It is very centrally located making it easy to get to all other areas. This is the biggest plus for the location. It is a bit windy and does not have a sandy beach right in front of the condo. However, the views are amazing and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Tim is very organized and his instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful condo with us. Maui is a beautiful island!!!

Thanks for having such a nice place that truly made our vacation one of the best we have ever had. We stayed here for 3 weeks and loved every minute of it. Your place had the best view from the 4th floor, well appointed with all amenities and updates galore, We liked the close proximity to some nice restaurants and grocery shops even. The most amazing beach was also close by and miles long.

This area is a quiet location yet close enough to Lahina and Kihei. This will no doubt be the only place we will want to stay from now on! Look forward to our next stay. We wish you the best for 2013.

This was an absolutely awesome trip. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and from the moment we opened the front door and saw the ocean through the lanai, it took our breath away!!! Everything in the condo was exactly as advertised. A beautifully renovated condo that had ALL of the comforts of home (including a soft bed) and extras. There is some snorkel equipment for those that snorkel; a couple of beach chairs to take with you if you go outside of the condo area; a cooler and audio tour disc to use on your drive on the Road to Hanna. There is also a pair of binoculars that we were able to use to look at the boats and surfers. Unfortunately they whales have not come to Maui yet. Not their time yet.
We attended the Old Lahania Luau and it was spectacular and had delicious food. Just a short walk around the area is Beach Bums Restaurant and it has excellent food at a decent price.
Can't say enough about how great the stay was. We had absolutely no problems during our stay. Tim provided excellent instructions for our arrival which was a late flight so that we could easily get into the condo. The kitchen is well equipped with just about anything you might need.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Milowai #404. The pictures tell the whole story. What you see is what you get. Clean, comfortable and the view is breathtaking. We arrived late at night, and when we woke up the next morning we already felt at home. I can still picture my wife relaxing on the lanai with her coffee in the morning and a drink at night. If you are planning to tour the island, the location of the condo is perfect. It is central to all the key spots. The condo is off the main road so it’s quiet, other than the soothing sounds of the ocean. Tim is great to deal with, friendly, responsive, and no hassles. If the dates you are looking for are still open, book it now. It fills up fast, and for good reason. Thanks Tim and Vicky, the use of the condo helped made what was a great vacation awesome!.

The condo is nicely maintained and was exactly as the pictures and description stated. We enjoyed everything about our stay at your condo. It was especially nice to have the beach chairs. We had everything we needed and wanted during our visit. The location was great – beach, dining, swimming, general store, Maui Ocean Center and aquarium were all in walking distance.
The view from the lanai was amazing; we watched the sea turtles and surfers everyday from the lanai. I liked that we were centrally located between Kihei and Lahaina with easy access to the highway. Maalaea is very windy, but just a few miles in either direction the winds were calm.

My husband and I have traveled to the Hawaiian islands over 10 times, and stayed in both hotels and condos, and #404 is our favorite. The unit was immaculate, and well-appointed with the comforts of home, including dishes, extra towels, even a cooler we found useful for our day-long drive to Hana.
We found Ma'alaea to be the perfect base from which to explore the island. Located just 20 minutes from morning snorkeling in Wailea, only 200 yards from the impressive Maui Ocean Center, and a mere 30 minutes to Ka'anapali to watch the sunset. After a day of site-seeing, it was an added-value to simply pull into our reserved parking spot, as other rentals often offer a first-come, first-park policy. The sight-seeing continued when we returned to our lanai, as this was a view we appreciated the most.
The priceless view would easily cost two to three times at other hotels on the island, as it offered a serene spot for our sunrise breakfasts, complete with spotting sea turtles below. We would love to reserve this table for two during the winter months, as this is the ideal spot for whale watching, and #404 comes ready with a set of binoculars.
We've rented condos in the past that have claimed to have trade winds, only to feel as hot as Tucson, but #404 truly offered pleasant breezes on demand, with just an open window.
The owner, Tim, was pleasant to deal with and easily accessible throughout our stay. He assured our stay was comfortable and pleasant, and offered the aloha spirit.
Some of our dining tips for the island of Maui include the pizza at Flatbread Company in Paia, Cafe O'Lei, which offers $9.95 lunch specials and great fish and chips. My husband's modest recommendations include Teddy's Bigger Burgers in Lahaina, as well as the chili and malasadas (not together) at Zippy's in Kahului, and the loco moco at Da Kitchen in Kahului. We both enjoyed the fresh, tropical fruits and baked goods, which served as our daily breakfast, from Mana Foods in Paia. And although we didn't take advantage of the full kitchen and grill, #404 would certainly serve as the ideal dinner hot spot.
We have already recommended #404 to friends and we also hope to return. Maui no ka oi (Maui is the best) and #404 no ka oi!
