What a wonderful place to stay! We actually had 2 families - 4 adults and 4 children. The children had the bottom floor (pool table and foosball right there) to themselves....allowed adults to sleep in a little in the morning. Beautiful view! We really had a great stay and Jack is amazing to work with. He checked on us and actually gave us advice on places to visit while we were there. By the way...make sure you eat at Log Cabin Pancake House (best banana royal ever), The Peddler Steakhouse, and Best Italian Cafe & Pizzeria. We loved Laurel Falls...but be careful...very slippery and I actually broke my leg up at the top of the waterfall.

wintery sunstone lodge

Our experience at Sunstone lodge was wonderful. The house is amazing, beautiful and clean and had almost everything.
The master bedrooms were very spacious, very comfy and you felt like home. It was a five star hotel feeling.
The kitchen had all the essentials including service for twelve which was nice and clean.
The location of the house is great and very close to hiking trails in the Smoky mountains.
You should know that if you need groceries there is a shopping area at light traffic number 10. We discovered this fact only on the last day and thought we should share with those interested in getting to Sunstone.
Just a few points to keep in mind for those traveling to the house. The road to the house is very curved and the sides are steep with no shoulder. Make sure you get there before dark. Especially if you are traveling on a snowy day. Don't forget to carry washing machine detergent and essential condiments like sugar, pepper, oil, coffee, tea etc.

Amazing Stay!

The pictures don't do the Sunstone Lodge justice. The views are absolutely stunning and the chalet is beautiful. There is plenty of room for guests to have a comfortable stay. There's also a huge yard with a perfect hill for sledding if it happens to snow! We had zero issue getting the cabs and food delivery up to the Sunstone Lodge, which I understand can be an issue for some cabins. If I went back to Gatlinburg, I would 100% stay here again. The owner is wonderful and the stay was perfect.

Our Family and extended Family enjoyed our weekend stay at Sunstone Lodge. The home was so nice and comfortable. It was exactly as it appeared on the website. It worked out great for our needs. Everyone had their own space which was nice. Jack was so nice and helpful and wanted to make sure everything was good for us. It was very clean, well kept and equipped for a large group.We definitely would rent this property again and would recommend it to others.

Our stay was an early Christmas family get together for grandparents, children, and grandchildren--7 adults and 4 kids. Sunstone Lodge was perfect providing bedrooms and living space for all, and an added bonus was the house was already decorated for Christmas. Everyone loved the layout of the house and the pool and foosball tables. The grandchildren loved the hot tub.
Gatlinburg and the Smokies are a great destination with nearby activities, especially for the grandchildren. We have rented in the area in the past for these reasons although it's been several years.
The property lived up to the listing description and photos and was clean and well maintained. The owner was especially responsive and helpful, and he and I talked several times before and after we stayed. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone.

This chalet exceeded our needs and expectations! We had a fairly large group staying ( wedding party ) and it still didnt feel crowded. Very convienient to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Would love to rent this chalet again! Jack was wonderful to work with - highly recomended.

This cabin is beautiful along with the views of the mountains. We had a wonderful time and could not have found a better place to stay during our visit to Gatlinburg. Jack, was very helpful and was always available if we had any questions. We would certainly reccomend you chosing this cabin for your next vacation.

Nothing like sitting at the dining room table or out on one of the decks and day dreaming as you look out across the mountains! Thank you for sharing your home with all of us! We will be back!
