What a beautiful home! It was perfect for our Easter get-together! This is our big family holiday since we all have to travel such distances and don't necessarily get together for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The house was perfect for our needs with everyone helping out in the big kitchen. There were 15 adults and 5 children (3 infants) and the setup of the house was perfect for our needs. One side of the house was the quieter side and the other side with the game room was not so quiet! Had a wonderful time and everything we needed was there. Thanks again!

John and Laurie have made an incredible home-away-from-home here at this house in Stratford. We had a group of 15 and this house was more than sufficient. The kitchen is amazing and an absolute joy to cook in. The photos really don't do this house justice. My friends and I will DEFINITELY be renting this place again!

This home provided a wonderful accommodation for our family as we gathered for a wedding. The kitchen is beautiful and the best I have ever seen in a vacation home. The layout of the house allows for family members to be together or to find alone space. Two first floor bedrooms are very helpful for older persons or those with a disability. The owner of the home is easy to work with and very helpful and kind. There are many activities and attractions available in this area of the North Country and I highly recommend this home for your vacation or gathering.

We had company team building outing with 8 people from around the globe (Philippines,Ireland,Brazil,Australia,Dubai) on March 5/6, and the house was fantastic. We used house as place to stay while learning skiing at the Balsams (40 minute drive from house). The Balsams has $90 package with equipment, ski pass, and 90 minute lesson, which is excellent deal compared to other mountains, and also no crowds to contend with, which makes learning skiing so much more enjoyable.

We used the fabulous kitchen for preparing meals, and everyone had their own comfortable bedroom and bathroom, and the trip was a huge success.

This home is very large and can accomidate a very large family or group. We go for purposes of skiing and snowmobiling,and getting the whole family together to catch up and enjoy each others company. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Me and my family stayed here Christmas 2010. The house is gorgeous and well kept. We needed to bring nothing cause they had movies, music, beautiful kitchen etc. We even played snowfootball game in huge yard. This was a trip to remember for us and now we decided to make this a yearly thing. Oh they even had a Christmas tree up for us which really surprised us and the kids loved it made us feel like we were home.

I really have a dilemma here. I can either tell you that the house is awful or tell the truth about how wonderful it is and risk having the house book up and not be able to stay without booking way in advance. I worry because I have looked at and rented houses before that tell you how great they are and in fact they are NOTHING like the pictures describe. This is not the case with the Hathaway house. The house is beautiful! The rooms are awesome and I love everything about the house and wish that is was mine. We were very fortunate this year to be able to stay at Hathaway House twice. The first time was for a week in August. My husband and I went up with a few people to celebrate our anniversary. The second time was in October for some wonderful leaf peeping with 20 people ranging in age from 3 to 75. I would just like to say that we had a wonderful time! It was nice to stroll the streets in Littleton for the afternoon, bring the children to Santa's Village, the huge meals we prepared in that awesome kitchen, driving to Errol to look for moose and all the nights we spent outside at the fire pit sharing stories.
We were very lucky that we were able to bring my blind grandmother on vacation with us. The house is set up with a ramp and a downstairs bedroom with a huge walk in shower. It was perfect for her and she was even able to go out to the fire with us. The children had a great time playing ping-pong, hide and seek, playing with all the board games, tag, watching movies, and spending time with their cousins. The house was so huge that they could play hide and seek all day. My 3 year old enjoyed running up and down the ramp for hours with the broom behind her. Luckily John and Laurie left tons of candy in the candy jars so that she had tons of energy to burn off.
If you want to take a vacation for some time to relax and spend some quality time with friends and family...this is the place to go. We are in the process of setting up our third visit for next summer! Thanks so much John and Laurie for the great memories!

A big thanks to John and Laurie for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house for the weekend of Oct 3rd 2009. We were a group 20 people and everyone in the group has satisfied with facilities and accommodation. I don't think we could expect anything better than this place. You guys have considered all ages and for their entertainment. Especially we loved your haunted music CD. I would definitely recommend this place to others and hopefully in future we will plan again to visit.
