Fabulous Stay in Waikiki

UH Parents San Mateo, CA, USA
Review Submitted: May 27, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We had the most wonderful time while in Waikiki for our daughters graduation from UH.

The condo unit looked just as pictured above. Our host Jerry and Mike were great, they meet us at our car and took us to the condo and showed us all around.

I specificilly picked this unit as it came with WFI and my husband needs to stay connected even in Hawaii.

You have to check out the sun deck on the floor above as the view are breath taking, the ocean, Diamond Head, and the city scape.

We also took advantage of the washer and dryers in the basement as well as parking our car in the garage. This property is in Waikiki, across the street from the beach, but out of the way of the major walking traffic. The Honolulu Zoo is across the street so you have a view of the beautiful grove of trees and green lawns. A great location.

We are aleady planning our return trip later this year.

"A Little Piece of Heaven!!"

Rebecca and Frank Palmdale, CA
Review Submitted: November 11, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Jerry and Mike greeted us both with upon our arrival with both the loveliest leis and warm welcoming hugs. The room was a slice of Heaven and was immaculate. Jerry was thoughtful to stock the refrigerator with food, coffee, teas and juices and our favorite part of the kitchen was the lovely bevy of local fruits for us to enjoy during our stay. All cooking utensils, pots and pans were also provided. Beautiful Hawaiian dinnerware filled the kitchen cabinets. The bed was wonderful and we woke with no aches or pains. Jerry and Michael are such wonderful hosts. They provide you with everything you’d need for a lovely vacation.
The 10th floor deck had breathtaking views and many chairs to enjoy an
evening under the stars. Walk out of the Hotel and in two minutes you are on
the beach. Walk to your right and you are in the heart of all the shopping, coffee houses and restaurants. Walk to your left and you are at the center of cultural botanical beauty. You will not find a more perfect location than this hotel.
Since our return home, Frank and I have spoken non-stop about returning for our 30th Anniversary next year and of course we look forward to stay in our "New Home away from Home.” Rebecca and Frank

Aloha

Alone in Paradise Covina, California
Review Submitted: October 7, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Our stay in the condo was excellent. We were greated hawaiian style. The condo was spotless and nicely decorated. the continental breakfast and fruit was very unexpected but a great addition. The location was great and close to everything. We had such a wonderful time. We are hoping the owners will have 2 bedroom units in the next couple of years so we can rent form them when we bring our son's with us. You will not be disappointed if you rent this condo. Here's a tip for new traveler's: Shop at Costco if you're a member you will be saving yourself an enormous amount of money.

Fantastic condo!!

George and Cathy Ontario, Canada
Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful condo. The owners thought of every detail, even continental breakfasts! The beach gear was great and we made good use of it. The location is excellent ( almost right across from the beach)and the restaurants and bars were close and reasonable. The unit was neat and clean and very comfortable!
This was our first condo experience and we wont go back to hotels! The hotels in Waikiki we stayed at last year were 4 stars and this was even better- at a lot better price, There is a pool but we preferred the ocean which was really close. Waikiki has tons of free shows ( hulas, music etc) on the beach nightly. Our favourite trip yet!!

Our Stay

Marsh Ak Anchorage Alaska
Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Jerry has an extremely nice condo to stay at. It is very clean, orderly and comfortable. You actually feel like your at home but yet still in paradise. For my fiancé and I it was the perfect place to stay for our two week vacation. It was still close to where the action was, super close to the beach and downstairs was Teddys Bigger Burgers, which lets face it are awesome! The location was also perfect because it's only about a mile and three quarters from Diamond Head crater. We were able to walk back to the condo from Diamond Head, what a beautiful walk. The condo also had a full size fridge so we were able to keep left over’s and even shop for actual food to put away. The complimentary breakfast was unbelievable and so was the pineapple Jerry had provided. The TV in the condo was great because it had everything you needed, DVD player and cable, plus the cable internet was great, and fast. The phone was awesome because we could call home for free from Hawaii. Overall the condo was perfect. Recently renovated. It would serve a two person couple perfect. Also located on the lanai is boogie boards, snorkeling gear, beach mats and towels. You really felt like you were at home.

2009 my first trip

Mr Mel San Jose, CA USA
Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Jerry and Mike meet us in the lobby with lei greetings and introduced us to our room. Wow what extras: under-bed storage bins, laundry supplies, extra toiletries (coconut bar soap was a surprise), stamped postage cards, beach extras and lots of food ( included macadamia nut bars/fresh pineapple). Yum, yum Lots of breakfasts were enjoyed on the top floor over-looking the park and beach.
We mostly used the bus with 3 scheduled tours. We used the basement parking area for a couple of days (compact size car is best). I downloaded my pictures most every night. Electronics is my life except for coming again!! Why did I wait to long for this? Melvin

2009 16 days of fun

An exquisite vacation with a luxury studio condo in an economy setting. Jerry's phone calls (and e-mails) kept us excited. We loved the decor with excellent quality linen, hawaiian print dishes and pictures. We liked eating breakfast on the top floor over-looking the park and beach. Our room was on the quieter/back side. Thank-you for the supply for our daily continental breakfast--fresh pineapple was delicious. You went the extra mile for our dietetary needs. For our pleasure we had on the lanai (porch): beach towels, body boards, snorkel face masks, air mattresses w/pump, sand mats, insulated lunch bag, beach umbrella, and chair.--awesome!! Sign me happy and rested Virginia San Jose, CA

Cosy Condo in Waikiki

Mel & Crawford Melbourne, Australia
Review Submitted: June 19, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This condo is in the best location, you are off the busy street but the beach is just a stone throw away from the front of the building!! It was very clean on arrival and were greeted with a lei and two very friendly people, Jerry and Michael who showed us all the condo had to offer. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can make your own meals and the full size fridge was very convenient! Jerry and Michael had thought of all of those little extra details you do not get anywhere else - postcards with stamps, food, and evertything you need for a day at the beach!! This place was a fantastic place to stay and highly recommend it to others!!

I felt nurtured like a baby bird!

acqua'marina Bodega Bay, CA, USA
Review Submitted: June 11, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
What a beautiful little love nest hosts Jerry and Michael created in the BEST location in Waikiki! I'm a single woman with grown kids who has stayed in many 4 and 5 star places in Waikiki (Royal Hawai'ian, Ala Moana Surfrider, The W, etc...) and not one of those places made me feel as welcome, safe and nurtured as I did here.
This was my 9th trip to Waikiki (for surf/business) and the best trip by far. The big chains could stand to learn a few things from Jerry and Michael, the most generous hosts who share their gracious ALOHA with their guests! From first initial contact, to their warm greeting on my arrival, to the thoughtful treats they put in the fridge and the stamped postcards I found in the desk drawer... there was always a surprise and detail that made me feel personally welcomed and cared for. (In reading these reviews for the first time, I see they do these sweet things for Every Visitor!) Honestly, Jerry and Michael made me feel as if I was the one and only queen bee to ever visit their nest! Thank you both, my mainland friends cannot get over how restored my spirit is!
The room: A jewel-like oasis designed for comfort. Small, yes, but mighty on features and amenities, and completely user friendly! The lovely design of the full-sized bathroom stocked with special soaps, shampoo and conditioner was another wonderful extra that was completely unexpected... I really enjoyed that bathtub after hours of surfing and walking everyday. The big beach towels were a bonus too, and I loved wrapping up in them after my baths. (And there were more than enough towels, another very considerate feature!) Be sure to heed Jerry’s advice and pack light! Stock up on healthy snacks and bevs at the brand new super Safeway up the street when you get here. Take a cab back for around $7. You'll be glad to have drinks in the full sized fridge (with an icemaker!) and a glass of wine to enjoy every evening at sunset on the fabulous (and underused) rooftop deck. If you are a couple sharing this room, get your stuff unpacked right away - once you do, you'll be all set. Ask the hosts about their similar unit right next door. Great idea to book both if you are traveling with a friend but want separate accommodations. Bring a pareo, a hat, sunscreen and your toothbrush. Really, you won’t be needing much else!
Mahalo and big hugs to Jerry and Michael. You really wowed me!
I can’t wait to come back!

Our 8 Day Stay

Dimplebooty San Jose, Ca
Review Submitted: May 16, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
I must admit that Jerry went above and beyond by providing us continental breakfast and all the necessary amenities. I can practically travel to this place with just the clothes on my back and still feel at ease here. Anything you would use at home (including shampoo and soap) are all available to you. The size was just enough for my husband and I, we went out everyday so the kitchenette didn't concern us, but the microwave was a plus when we brought left overs home. The location is on the same block as the main strip, so we're just a hop skip away from the excitement. Jerry, thank you for being so warm and kind, getting to meet the face behind the emails and phone calls was a pleasure. We are already hoping to come back to the islands soon. Gotta work and save up! Btw! The rates for our stay was a bargain!
