A Wonderful place to stay while visiting Jamaica

We found this property very comfortable and suitable for a two week stay. Unfortunately, it rained for two weeks but I'm glad we were staying there because it was safe and dry.
We are frequent visitors to Jamaica and this was one of the nicest private places we have ever stayed. The only draw back was the significant distance from Ocho Rios. Although getting transportation was a challenge, it was not impossible. I would recommend renting a car if you can drive on the left or getting a driver for your time there.
The rental includes a housekeeper who comes every three days or so. She was very nice and unobtrusive. Although there is a washer, there is no dryer (there is a close line).
The grounds were clean, safe and beautiful. I recommend this as an ideal place for a family or group of friends who want privacy away from the typical "tourist" traps.

I stayed at this beautiful house with my family,Very good location,easy to get a ride anywhere.If you are looking for somewhere to stay that gives you a homey feel,this is the spot.
very clean,spacious,comfortable.I was able to take my family with me,They had a wonderful time there.I would recommend this place to anyone who wishes to take a vacation with their family.last but not least,The staff was friendly,and helpful.

What You See Is What You Get

Our stay was from March 2 to March 6, 2011, this home was exactly as the pictures presented it. The home was very clean, the area was very safe. The beds are comfortable; the kitchen had all the necessary utensils of home, it definitely felt like a home away from home.
Everyone we dealt with was very helpful and accommodating, the owner, the housekeeper and the security guards at the gate. We had no issues and would definitely highly recommend this home.

PLACE OF COMFORT!

WOW WHAT CAN I SAY THIS VILLA, THIS HOUSE WAS WONDERFUL I CALL IT MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME!! IT HAD EVERYTHING THAT I NEEDED, ITS VERY VERY CLEAN AND COZY ITS COMFORTABLE ITS IN A SECURE ENVIRONMENT, ITS VERY CLOSE TO TO THE MAIN ROAD WHERE TAXIS RUN OFTEN! THE STAFF FOR THE VILLA ARE SO WARM AND FRIENDLY, I TRAVEL VERYT OFTEN TO JAMAICA AND THIS IS WHERE I WILL STAY WHEN I COME!! IF YOUR LOOKING FOR PAECE AND QUIET AND COMFORT THIS IS WHERE IT IS , I LOVE IT!!

Our family enjoyed a week together at this lovely home. Size and amenities were appreciated by all family members. The house had the best beds we have ever had in the caribbian/central america. The owner worked to make everything comfortable and enjoyable. We had a rental car, thus travel was not an issue; neighbors & staff were helpful at providing great information on the area. The views were nice & will be enhanced as more landscaping in this new development is completed.

Cannot wait to go again!

Stayed here in June and had a fantastic time.
The condo had everything I had at home and more.
Conveinently located between Ochi and Port Maria, you have the best of both worlds. Fast paced tourist town of Ocho Rios, and the sleepy, interesting town of Port Maria.
Would recommend renting a car and buying a tourinst guide book as the area has a ton of things to do. The folks in the area are great...Did you know at James Bond Beach, which is around a 10min drive to the east, you can get in free daily between 6-8am!
The condo itself is spacious, clean ahd has everything you need for a most comfortable stay.
AC worked like a charm, easy no fuss appliances (you will not find a cappuccino machine with a million buttons exept the on/off), clean linen, washer, dryer, even filters for the coffee machine.
Quiet complex with 24hr security,will definatly go back!

Really enjoyed here

We found this apartment really comfortable, clean and modern. It had all mod cons including washing machine.AC worked like a dream. Its in a local community where people are still building but thats real life! Its reasonably priced and the local contacts very helpful, including the security guard. Its a little off the beaten track but transport is easy enough from the main road. Felt very safe and relaxed. We couldn't access the pool for one day for cleaning but did access other days. Good communication with owner. Certainly recommended.

Be careful before booking this villa

Be aware that the villa advertised in this website is not the one where you will stay. The villa you will stay in is just out of shot of the picture on the website. There is nowhere to sit outside the villa as it next to a building site and the back garden is just building rubble.
Also, note that the estate has not been completed and is therefore still a building site.
During our 2 week stay the very small swimming pool was unusable for all but the last 3 days. The water was green and there was moss growing on the wall. It looked disgusting and could not and was not used by anyone during this period. It was then emptied and eventually cleaned and re-filled but by this point we were too disheartened to use it.
There is not a beach that you can walk to, the Reggae beach is a few miles away and there is a charge of 8 US Dollars each to use.
A car is essential for your stay.
My recommendation would be to book in at the Beaches Boscobel hotel just down the road instead of staying here.
Also, note that the estate has not been completed and is therefore still a building site.

The gated community of Emrald Estate was built in 2008 on Rio Nuevo battle sit with stunning views of the caribbean sea .Homes are owned by local working class family and foreigners . There is a local beach in Rio Nuevo maps will be added or please ask house keeper , security guards for dictions to go anywhere . The first thing you will notice in this community is pride of ownership .Future planning will include a recreation area for family to enjoy . To my previous guests i do apologize for the communal pool was down must of your stay .It was drained and problem fix . As advertised my unit is a two storey town home . Homes joint together new picture of building structure and outdoor furniture will be added oct 2010 . Car rental would be personal preferences . Local transportation right at gates to community or taxi to your door . The beauitful Beach Boscobel and public golf course just minutes away for all to enjoy . For the familys that are on a budget if you would like a safe , clean place . And have a dizzier to explore Jamaica culture , beauty Emrald Estate mite be the spot for you . Us small business owners do appreciate your business .

Beautiful and Breezy Rooms

I was in Jamiaca for 2 weeks and located this place through the internet. I found the place to be very modernly decorated. The veiw was spectacular at all times of the day as you could clearly see the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. I did not rent a car but found the bus system to be very easy to access due to being quite close to the main road. The pool on the property was very clean and enjoyed the views it offered aswell. I found the price to be very affordable and the place to be exactly what I was looking for in a private accomadation. It is definatley a home away from home and I felt very safe and relaxed having been travelling alone for this trip. The owner was very helpful and I was even given a cell phone for use while there. This is a place I will continue to stay while vacationing in Jamaica.
