All I can say is wow. This penthouse is the best. Corner unit with crazy views and a roof deck to die for. Jacuzzi, BBQ area, seating area allo n a roof deck thats bigger than my NYC city apartment. The area is super safe and clean. The staff will go above and beyond to help you with whatever you need, as they got me a real christmas tree and decorated it for us. The living room is inviting with comfy furniture, the kitchen is very nice with top of the line appliances and the pantry has a washer and dryer. the bedrooms and bathroom are very large and open with nice fixtures, built in closets and rain shower heads.
The restaurant downstairs is quant with some great food. There is an American hospital and a great supermarket that is less than 10 min walk away. The town and beach are 10 min in the other direction so where ever you need to go is very close. And if you dont feel like walking back up the hill to Alegranza form town a cab is only $5. This penthouse is unmatched to any other condo or penthouse I have been in. The size, the views, the amenities, and how private it is made it a great week.

I checked this place through this website and I got pretty impressed by the pictures , so I gave a try and decided to stay in Easter with my husband
I have to say that this was even better, way above my expectations. That roof top terrace, where I spent most of my time has, by far , the best views in town….you won’t like to go anywhere else!!, great dinners and resting time up there overlooking the whole bay

People a the resort where really friendly and helped me feel like at home…. Kitchen was well equipped, bedding was very comfortable and the qualities on finishes and details are amazing ( I am a builder and I could tell)

We decided not to rent a car so we did most of our trips walking. Unless you want to go golfing, car is not really needed..otherwise, concierge can always help you rent one and are always very helpful. Finally, the resort had all the amenities we wanted so there was not even a need to leave the resort (nice restaurant, heated saline water pools, Jacuzzis, fully equipped gym,….)

Just spent 4.5 months in 2 different units. Fabulous. New, clean, well designed and professionally managed property. Pools, hottubs, tennis, gym, sauna, putting green, and management are the best. I'll be back next year for sure. Also the location in San Jose is perfect.
Looked at many other developments in the area. This is #1 for the works.

We stayed at Alegranza for all of Dec./09 and Jan./10 in a two bedroom penthouse corner unit in the 'A' building. From the beginning, we were given the best of professional and courteous service from all levels of personnel. And they welcomed our dog! They also swiftly accomodated us when a medical situation caused us to extend our stay. We always felt safe and secure. Our condo unit was beautifully & comfortably furnished inside and out, And the VIEW, simply breathtaking. The kitchen was beautiful & well equipped with quality appliances. However, kitchen accessories were somewhat sparse for such a quality condo, (but forgiven in their first year of operation), and will hopefully be enhanced over time. The grounds, pools,and amenities are lovely and well maintained. The restaurant on the premises is great, including the Manager Peter, who offers the perfect mix of professionalism and humour. And the food is delicious. There were a few minor "new building" glitches with internet access and plumbing which were quickly addressed. Items to note: Alegranza is centrally located within walking distance to downtown San Jose and beaches, but is on the top of a hill, so a car might be helpful for anyone with small children or the elderly. Also, taxis are easily obtained and only about $5 to anywhere in town. All in all, we loved Alegranza and its people. We would return in a heartbeat.
