As the wrought iron gates open, you climb to the top of a hill toward your personal Casita ' Mi compania Dulce' As you look to the west you are struck by the awesome sights of New Melones Lake 500 feet below.
Your eyes drink in the 360 degree views of water, hills and vineyards in a very private setting. Your one-bedroom Casita is handsomely decorated in old Mexican charm. It comes fully equipped with all the modern amenities including a nicely equipped kitchen and 2 verandas to enjoy the breathtaking views.
Visit the many local wineries in Murphy's. Tour the historic mining towns, enjoy golf at one of the local courses or ski Bear Valley. All are within 15-45 minutes of your private secluded hideaway.

It really *is* spectacular!

My wife and I spent two glorious days at this wonderful casita in the Villa Vallecito Vineyards. The cottage is up on the very top of a hill overlooking the vineyards in one direction and New Melones Lake in the other. In a word, the setting is stunning. The casita itself is well appointed and wonderfully comfortable. Secluded, private, relaxing... if that's what you'd like, look no farther!

The stay was exactly what we anticipated and deserved. This was our second stay at the villa. Unfortunatetly the grounds were not maintained to previous standards, but it did not take away from the beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere. I always recommend visting the local tasting rooms, but suggest going to Villa Vallecito Vinyard tasting room first, since they have the best wine in town. I also recommend joining the Villa Vallecito Vinyard wine club, to enjoy the numerous benefits that are included in the membership.

Incredible weekend getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. As you can see in the pictures, the view is breathtaking. The villa is beautiful, fully equipped, and in perfect condition. The owner was very friendly to deal with. We did not want to leave… and now we want to go back… immediately!

Planned our Mother's 91 Birthday Trip to the area and stayed in the nicest setting ever. Beautiful country side,beautiful weather. Just a great place to stay..Wine tasting & sight seeing was alot of fun.The best family Gathering..Love it all.

This place looked wonderful on the web site. The actual experience was far better than the great web site. The Casita is fantastic. Everything was first class. What a memorable experience for celebrating our 62nd wedding anniversary.

Great Weekend Getaway

My husband and I needed a weekend getaway, and this was a wonderful choice! The owner was very helpful with all questions, and the Casita itself was just beautiful. Murphys is a short drive away, but it was difficult to bring ourselves to leave this lovely oasis. The photos in the listing really do not do this property justice, as the setting has to be experienced to be fully enjoyed.! Great for a couple's getaway, or just a girl's weekend with a friend. We will definitely be returning!

The photos on this property do not do it justice. Absolutely stunning views. The casita was very elegant. The kitchen was first class and the views ..... can't say enough about the views. We happend to be there for the meteor shower and it was PERFECT. Ghee was so hospitable when we arrived. A pitcher of sangria in hand for us. If we needed anything we would have only had to call, but everything was grand. Thanks again

Relaxing Time in Calaveras County!

My girlfriend and I made the drive up from SF to Mi Compania Dulce this summer and were thrilled with everything from the view to the incredible accommodations. It was a rare experience where everything was even nicer than you see in the pictures and read in the description. Plan on relaxing and having plenty of snacks, drinks, food for the bbq and be prepared for the incredible sweeping views of vineyards and lake. The towns of Murphys, Angel's Camp and some of the local mine attractions are a relatively close drive. I cannot wait until we make the trip up to Calaveras county again and thank you so much for the incredible location and hospitality!

Absolutely Beautiful!

My husband and I stayed at the Casita at Villa Vallecito Vineyards over the July 4th holiday. The house and grounds were beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying the view, sharing the BBQ with my sister and brother-in-law, and just relaxing! As others have said, it is a great place to just go and take whatever you need so you don't have to leave for your entire stay!
I would say that it probably isn't for people who are looking for the night life or to be coming and going a lot. But if you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful place, this is definitely it!
We definitely plan to return.
