Great Valentine's Weekend!

Review Submitted: February 16, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
This gorgeous cabin exceeded our expectations! It is beautifully decorated with all the modern necessities. The place was immaculate when we arrived. It is located less than 4 miles to the Cataloochee ski resort and less than a mile to tubing which is so convenient. Our children loved it and is already asking when we can come back.

Family weekend getaway

Review Submitted: November 18, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
We didn't know what to expect since this was our first stab at a cabin retreat for the whole family - were we ever surprised! The cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and out and spotless top to bottom. We had 12 people for the weekend but the place is laid out so that we didn't seem cramped at all. Kids loved the loft area for sleeping and downstairs where they could make a little noise without waking up the grandparents (who were up in the Master suite). Speaking of the Master suite - WOW! Very nice, very large and very comfortable for my parents. Kitchen is awesome and the girls loved spending time cooking there as well as sitting at the bar drinking coffee. We all loved the place and are making plans to go back for an even longer stay - highly recommended.

Review Submitted: September 21, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the scenary. The cabin was gorgeous and was stocked with enough things to meet our needs while we were there. Everything was neat and clean and in pristine condition. The cabin is decorated very well and close to the town with many things to do during the day. Could not recommend staying here enough was great experience.

Pictures on the website are just nog enough to describe the beauty of the house... this renting is all about being spoiled... even the hot tub was ready to jump in. All details are taken care off and the luxury exceeds the amount being paid. Thanks for sharing this great place!

The perfect home away...a dream home

Review Submitted: July 20, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This was the perfect getaway for our family vacation. We had 11 people, three generations from ages 20-86 and everyone loved it. We cooked the most amazing meals and loved the fabulous gourmet kitchen which has every utensil and appliance imaginable. The dining table not only accommodated us at mealtime but also transformed for our late night card games. We especially loved all of the wood work in the cabin; the stair well was breathtaking and the log beams were massive, the decorative detailing was perfect! The fireplaces added even more atmosphere and was the perfect spot for a little hot yoga or morning stretch before our hikes. From luxurious to rustic...we also enjoyed the cool evenings, spending time by the fire pit roasting marshmallows for samores and found it to be such a "warm" bonding experience. Relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to end our evenings. The location was great...close enough to hiking, rafting, dining out, and remote enough to give us a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility. Any questions we had were immediately answered either by email or a phone call. If I ever built a dream cabin...this would be very close...Thanks for sharing your dream cabin. We will have fond memories, especially while back in the S. Florida heat.

Stylish, private, easy access to fun

Laurie Ann Charlotte, NC
Review Submitted: July 15, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Maggie Valley is lots of fun--this was my first time visiting the area and there are charming shops, galleries and restaurants, plus fun adventures for kids. I visited this property as a guest. This house is large, spacious and elegant, with a fantastic kitchen, soaring fireplace/den area, and plenty of privacy. It's brand new and incredibly comfortable, as well as stylishly appointed. The master bedroom is gorgeous, and ground floor bedrooms are cozy and well-designed. If you are taking teens, put them on this level because they will have their own TV and a pool table! An upper loft has built-in beds--little kids will think this is a secret hideaway (though beds are certainly fine for adults). The main deck is excellent for private reading or evening chats. You're in the woods, but not isolated (you can see another house nearby down the hill). A wonderful place!

Elegant Mountain Comfort

Jimmy & Alli Nashville, TN
Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We thoroughly enjoyed our family mountain get a way at this home. The home is surrounded by many shady trees and has this wonderful small river below it that you can hear the sound of water rapids around the clock. It is so relaxing on the large sun decks hanging out for some quiet time or to tell stories with friend and family.

It was large enough for our multiple family get together, sleeping 14 people. The home was so new and well maintained and beautifully decorated. The cedar logs we custom built to give the home a real rustic, but premium feel. We enjoyed so many laughs and stories from our group together in the large gathering rooms and kitchen. Everything was new in the home and was arranged for entertainment with its large dining table, outdoor benches, pool table, wide screen TV's and especially the Great Hot Tub. There was nothing like hanging out in the Hot Tub outside under the stars listening to the rapids on the river.

Eventhough we were in the mountain wilderness, we had every creature comforts from home and were so close to all the attractions of the area like the ski resort, amusement park, great hiking, restaurants and fun attractions for the kids. Oh yeah, don't forget the awesome Elk watching is only a hop, skip and jump away.

We would highly recommend this home to all of our friends and family!

Awesome experience

Review Submitted: February 17, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Our group had a wonderful experience, the house, furnishings and views were breathtaking. There were 14 in our group and we had more than enough space to relax and the size of the kitchen and dining area gave us enough space to be together at meal times. Close to the main road and yet a very quiet neighborhood, we certainly were thankful for the secluded feel(our teenagers were pretty loud outdoors). Highly recommend and we will stay here again!
