What a Find!

Both the home and location on the lake are wonderful. Our group of 4 kids, 4 adults, and one cat felt at home right away. The layout and furnishings in the house are top notch. We had one bad weather day and were easily entertained in the home theater, playing board games, and air hockey. When the weather was good took full advantage of the lake--swimming, fishing, and boating. We've already booked a return trip for the fall. You won't regret a trip to Waterford Retreat!

2010 Wager SML vacation

My family and I have been enjoying an SML vacation for the past 3 years and Waterford Retreat is, hands down, the best rental property we've stayed in yet. It is spacious, clean, well-stocked, just as described on the webpage. The dock is awesome, providing plenty of room for my family of 10+ to run around, swim, eat, and fish. The cove that Waterford retreat is located in is quiet and close to Bridgewater Marina, our other form of entertainment when at SML. I would definitely recommend this property to any family needing plenty of room for a family vacation. It may seem pricey but I've looked at many, many houses that can accomodate a large number of people. Some are cheaper, none are better than Waterford. You get everything you would expect for the price and more!

Great house! Great vacation!

The house was everything we expected and more! It was very clean and well maintained. We cooked in almost every night and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. The location in the quiet cove was perfect, yet close to town. The owners couldn't have been nicer to deal with. There was a slight problem with the a/c which they took care of very quickly. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! My husband, myself, my brother, sister-in-law, and six children ages 10, 11, 12, 13,14, and 16 stayed very comfortably in the house. We never felt crowded. The kids loved the home theater and air hockey table (so did the adults)! The lake was very clean and warm. We rented a boat for the week and took the kids tubing, or stayed at the home's dock and swam all day. The beach across the way was a lot of fun for the kids also. The adults went out for dinner one night to a great restaurant called The Landing. It's a bit pricey but the food was absolutely delicious. Well worth the cost!

Waterford is truly a Retreat for your family

Our two families had a very enjoyable stay from 8/15 - 22/2009. We felt at home in this comfortable and spacious home. Everything is clean and well alid out with great views on a quiet and pretty cove. We really loved sitting at the new dock with easy access to the water and your boats. Overall an excellent setting for your vacation on SML.

Perfect in Every Way!

The pictures do not do The Waterford Retreat justice. The house is gorgeous and roomy. The media room is fantastic. The location is perfect... a quiet cove where the kids can swim off of the dock with no worries of boats racing through. Yet, just outside the cove, you can ski and tube and do whatever you want. Just 5 minutes away (by boat) to the marina and shops. We had 10 adults, 3 children and 2 babies and never felt crowded. We all agreed that this was the most amazing and relaxing vacation ever and the Waterford Retreat made it possible. We would HIGHLY recommend this property.

Our family arrived July 4th and enjoyed every moment in this lovely
home. The layout is perfect for any and all ages. Plenty of bedrooms,baths, space for everyone. The dock was our favorite hang-
out-the fish were small but plentiful-the canoe great fun-and the most
peaceful scenery around. The location was ideal low boat activity and
noise besides being convenient to everything. We will be back!

You get more than what you see and everything you hoped for!!! Owners are wonderfully warm and helpful! Everything is new and clean -- only stress that week was about keeping it that way with 5 kids in tow! Very kid-friendly in every way. Tooled over to the restaurant across the cove for dinner one night and found some civil war history during our walks along the street. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Wonderful place for our vacation

We visited Waterford Retreat this past week and had an absolutely terrific time! The house is very well appointed, comfortable, beautiful, and in a very peaceful cove. Would recommend it to a large family or more than one family. It was clean, the air hockey table was fun, the theater was terrific! Beds were very comfortable. We hope to come back!
