Mike's place was very nice. It was comfortable and everything we could want was there. The kitchen was well stocked with enough extras that we were able to pick up main ingredients and cook our meals in. Mike is super friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. The space was well decorated. Big supply of movies for relaxing in the evenings. It was a very nice vacation for us and our 4 year old son!

Happy Customer
I enjoyed staying at this property. It was very comfortable and clean. It is located in a great area on the beach, and close to everything you need. I had dinner at the 3rd street diner, and it is really nice. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and liked it so much, that we came back. We will come back again. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Facililty Uninhabitable and Customer Service Unimaginably poor
Called owner to advise that heat was not working within two hours of arrival. Overnight temperature in low 50s and as low as freezing during our scheduled stay. All three heat pumps in La Palmeria were not working and at least the one in the garden suite needed to be replaced. Replacement not done, which we expected to be a problem because it was the holiday but the owner refused to release us from contract. The owner had two space heaters left unopened on our stoop. When we plugged them in per manufacturers instructions, the circuits blew leaving us in the dark, Again she did not answer my first call so we went to hotel. Upon learning we had gone to hotel she ordered the unit cleaned and said she would refund us if she found another tennant for the unheated unit. W were not surprised that she wasn't able to do that. In addition, I'd had to clean the refrigerator upon arrival and we found the space and furnishings very uncomfortable. We have filed complaint with BBB and will seek other recourse
Owner's Response: The first cold snap of the year came on Christmas Eve and of course that’s when we found out the Garden Suite system needed to be fully replaced. The contractor inspected it immediately and the system was replaced as soon as the holiday schedule allowed. We agreed to give the guests a credit for the inconvenience on their first night and we provided alternative heating, which the guests deemed acceptable. However, they insisted they needed both space heaters in the same room and called us as soon as the breaker tripped to say they were leaving. We offered to reset the breaker and advised that they use one heater per room, but they insisted on leaving.
As a landlord of a vacation rental business of 8-years, we know that sometimes there are some maintenance issues that we can’t control, but we always stay in communication, make every effort to resolve the situation quickly and try to make our guests as comfortable as possible by offering alternative solutions. We did all of the above when the heater failed recently and I can reassure our potential guests that we try extremely hard to provide an enjoyable vacation rental experience for every one of our guests.

OMGee my trip was everything I hoped it to be. Holly is Amazing! The process was very smooth. Holly made sure all my questions were answered in a timely manner and she is very professional. The Garden Suite was very clean... home away from home. Everything you needed was either in the house or right around the corner. I will recommend anyone to stay here. I will definitely be back

Perfect Stay for the 2nd Year in a Row!
Stayed at the Garden Suite for the 2nd year in a row and had another perfect stay. Perfect location to the beach, restaurants, shops, and family while visiting. Way better than any hotels in the area. Highly recommend!

Work at the Beach
I was on a week long work trip in Jacksonville and had to bring my dog, so I needed somewhere that would feel a little like home. This place was perfect!! Just the right size, clean, cozy and a little private too. Two blocks from the beach(dog friendly on leash before 9am and after 5pm). Great for dog-jogs in the am and fetch in the pm! Easy to work with and we will definatley return.

Home away from home
We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at The Garden Suite. The property was very clean, well-laid out and began to feel like a little oasis in the midst of our busy lives. The kitchen had everything we needed (thank you for the coffee!), the bed was extremely comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy. We are Jacksonville natives and are very familiar with the area, so we knew this property would be convenient to restaurants, attractions, etc. We spent an enjoyable Sunday morning fishing off the Jacksonville Pier. Mike was easy to work with and we felt well-taken care of. We will be back!

Great Location
My husband and I visited Jacksonville Beach for the first time and we really enjoyed our time there. Living in Florida most of our lives we have really missed out. The rental is private and in a great location. There is a lot to do in Jax Beach and the rental is close to everything.

Quiet, clean, dog friendly, great amenities
We had a wonderful 3 days with our dog. The private outside patio was perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked and clean. There was everything we needed and much more. The beach was very close and we could walk the dog before 8 and also in the evening. We found a dog friendly park called Hanna state park. That beach was dog friendly all day. We would certainly recommend this property for our friends and relatives. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!

Quiet and romantic
I know the company you keep is a big part of enjoying a vacation (I had that part down) But the Garden Suite made it perfect. The kitchen facilities were well equipped, the bedding was plush and comfortable and the location is very close to beach with chairs and towels provided, .
Our overall stay was wonderful. The private courtyard was perfect for us.
At check in, I noticed a light was not working in the bathroom. I called Mike and it was fixed within 30 minutes. Amazing service!!
