Excellent and Relaxing

We had excellent communication with the owner. They provided lots of information about the surrounding area and the owner was very accommodating for our pets.
Wonderful entertaining amenities like table games such as pool table, ping pong, fooseball and air hockey would keep a large group of adults and teens and little ones busy.
Nice view of the cove. The layout was great. The house was spacious and with easy access for pets and small children. Wonderful location but just a little too close to one neighbor. House is showing its age, but everything worked. House has easy access to the marina for boat rental, only 15 minutes by water. Close to grocery stores and a few restaurants. And having a private dock was perfect.
We couldn’t get the internet connection to work. We contacted the owner and the recommendation by the owner did not work. It would have been nice to have.
We would recommend this property to friends and we would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Jan and her family were very nice guests. We enjoyed having them. We were so sorry that the wireless internet did not work while they visited for the week-end. The repairman found that we had an internet signal but had lost our wireless address. I did not know to tell Jan and her family that they could plug the blue ethernet cord, attached to the router, directly into their computer and they would have had internet. The repairman restored the wireless address and everything appears to be working just fine. I am grateful that Jan let me know about the problem.

Great home, very friendly and accomodating owner. Lakefront location and dock were fantastic, and loved that the house was very close to restaurants, shops, etc. We would definitely recommend to friends and stay again.

Our family had a great time. The house was roomy and spacious and we used all of the indoor table games - pool, ping pong, foosball, and air hockey. The little one really enjoyed the air hockey. The weather was almost perfect the whole weekend and we were able to make good use of the 17' fishing boat we rented from Parrot Cove. The house location was great, we had direct water access, plenty of room to stretch, and lots of good activities for the family to enjoy. What more could you want?
Great Graduation Weekend

My family and I along with some close friends stayed two nights here as we visited the area for my college graduation (at 46!). The cabin was just as we had hoped and was clean, comfortable, and well-cared for. The trees created natural shade yet allowed for great views of the water from the deck. The large dock provided a great place for fishing as those who enjoy such had a great time. The downstairs rec room was used by the teens who enjoyed their time playing pool. We would certainly consider staying here again should the opportunity present itself in the future.

We enjoyed our time at the lake. We rented a pontoon boat and traveled the lake. We fished and visited with family. We had a lot of fun. We hope the next people that come to this cottage enjoy themselves as much as we did.

We enjoyed our trip here to Smith Mountain Lake. We are from Nashville, TN and came here to watch a dear friend graduate from Liberty. We plan to come back and stay here again. We enjoyed the beautiful lake and loved this place. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

Our family consists of a 15 year old boy, twin 12 year old girls, my husband and I and our black lab and we all really enjoyed your lake house. We brought our boat with us and it was nice to be able to tie it to the dock when we wanted to run in and have lunch. Our dog loved swimming off your docks and we spent time watching two nice little bass on either side of the dock on their beds. The Elite Bassmasters were in town while we were there so we got to go to a weigh in and watch them fish. While we were there we explored Roanoke and went to the science museum, we did a small piece of the Blue Ridge Parkway (Otter Peaks), we visited the DD Memorial and enjoyed walks down the road to visit the miniature horses and other horses. The area is beautiful and it was a very nice relaxing week. Thank you.

My husband and I are originally from Delaware, and that is where all our family is from. Since we have moved to Tennessee it is hard to visit the family. Smith Mountain Lake is at about the halfway point from Tennessee to Delaware, and it was an EXCELLENT meeting place! We had an absolute BLAST at the Mills' home, and we cannot wait until the next trip! The lower level game room alone kept us busy for hours, and the lake view kept us speechless due to its beauty. Our dog even had such a great time that she passed out at the end of the night due to exhaustion (which is saying a LOT because she is a Jack Russell Terrier)! You will not be disappointed in your stay here! Thanks for everything, Dianne!

I am so glad we were able to find your cabin available on the internet just a week before coming to the area. Very fortunate. We had a very fun and relaxing time here in your cabin. Hey, my name is Erica. I am a teen-ager staying with my family. What I liked most was the paddle boat. It was actually pretty warm for winter. I was not good at any of the games in the basement but I love this house. It is very pretty and cozy. Hello...this is Mom. Nice home, lots of space for toddlers and teens on this visit. We were blessed with warm weather. Upper 60's in December!! We enjoyed the little boat and dock. My son practiced his golf swing on the dock and we got a lot of star-gazing in. Game room is neat! My daughter learned that I am quite the ping pong player. Thanks for everything!
