Perfect Family Vacation Wonderful Villa

We spent a week in villa #2 and had an amazing time, just wonderful vacations, very good alternative to hotel for family, really a home away from home..
Very greatful for finding this option, villa was just perfect for us with two small children and a tennager, excellent loaction on the beach in great bay close to boardwalk, shops and restaurants in Phillipsburg you could see ships coming and going everyday, Villa exceded our expectations, everything was impecable, bathrooms, rooms, kitchen very well stocked and equipped something that was great for us preparing dinner coming back from outings, breakfast and snaks for day trips. Villa has uper deck in one bedroom in front of ocean and terrace in living area, outside is pool and terrace with new lounge chairs and tables in between a half a dozen palm trees (our idea of paradise). Just perfect for relaxing in the evening, villa well eqiuiped with cable tv plenty of fans and air conditionings. Supermarket close by although we finally prefered supermarkets on French side. Jim and Gina were very kind and friendly with us and our children helping us with tips and even placing a small pool for our little Antonia.(a big hug form all of us). We had an amazing time on the island visiting almost all major beaches staying our final days in Mullet bay due to its pool like tranquil and transparent waters. We also did buterfly farm, Pinel and Anguilla (all very worth it). Villas are in an excellent location, are very pretty and private and for us gave us a perfect "home" for our family to enjoy our week in St. Marteen, our only regret is not having stayed longer.

Wonderful Vacation- Young family with a toddler

Before we even arrived, Doug provided so much fantastic information about what to do, where to rent a car and we felt very prepared for our vacation.
When we got there, the condo is better in real life than the pictures posted. The condo was very clean, plenty of linens and towels, a very updated condo with wonderful amenities. There was a washing machine and dryer on the premises and it was easy to use.
My husband, 20 month old baby and sister came for a relaxing vacation. The wifi was good in the condo and that helped us have access back home if needed. The pool was awesome and Doug had a pool purchased for our toddler and he had a blast. Jim, the onsite manager and his wife were amazing. They were so nice and helpful. They made our vacation wonderful! Wilfred the nightwatchman and everyone that was on the property was so nice.
It is truly beach front, we rented a car and drove all over St. Maarten. We took Doug's PDF and used it every day. We went somewhere every day and we took a day trip to Anguilla. We enjoyed the restaurants he suggested very much and the grocery store had everything we needed. The funny thing is they only have huggies- not pampers so we are glad we brought diapers. We couldnt find any swim diapers, so bring your own! One of our favorite restaurants was Chesterfields- a wonderful suggestion from Doug. You must watch the planes land and take off- one of our highlights and the butterfly garden was so fun for our toddler. We had lots of conch, lobster and fish.
One fun thing is that cruise ships do come to the beach so there are many shops and bars that you can walk to. It didnt get crowded where we were at all and we saw cruise ships coming in each day. We had the best time and can't wait to go back.

Great Bay Villa Vacation

We stayed at the villa from 23-30 Apr 2012 and found it to be as good or better than what was described in the listing. It was clean and very well equipped. The owner was very helpful in answering my questions before our trip. The onsite manager, Frank and his wife Sandy were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. The location was excellent with many shops and restaurants within a five minute walk. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone going to SXM and hopefully we will be back next year.

We just returned from our “Tropical Paradise Vacation” at The Villas On Great Bay. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend The Villas to anyone interested in a St. Maarten vacation. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Frank, the property manager. He was very friendly and very accommodating. We found the unit to be extremely clean and beautifully updated. The grounds were gorgeous with the garden walkway, the nice pool area and the relaxing beach. It was very secure with locked gates and the location was just a short walk to Phillipsburg where all the cruise ships dock. The pier offered great shopping, great dining and spectacular views! So much to do, so much to see but if you are just looking for a relaxing time The Villas provide that as well. Thank you so much Frank, Sandy and Doug!

Great Location, and wonderful home-like feel in an extremely well equipped condo. Pool and beach could not be better. Kitchen was perfect bar support and facility for ribs and fries. SUKI grocery 1 block away is all we needed. Managers, Frank and Sandy, took very good care of us. Sint Maarten was just as we remembered it. The $1 Busses were all we needed for transport all over the island. After just finishing our cruise the day before, watching the cruise ships come and go was special. We hope to return as soon as possible.

We stayed at this Villa in the first week of October 2011. We were two adult couples, and must say that the Villa as well as the property as a whole is very nice indeed. Villa was in perfect shape, pleasant and well equipped. The property as a whole has a fantastic location on the beach, while having assured privacy and a small but fully adequate and relaxing pool. We warmly recommend this Villa for people who are looking for quality.

Perfect villa on the beach!

My family stayed in this unit for our spring break in March, 2011. We absolutely loved the unit and had a wonderful time. The owners, Doug and Becky, thought of everything we could possibly need. We were very comfortable and with the beautiful views, even felt pampered all week! The location is perfect- our teenagers could walk to the boardwalk within minutes, and it was close to the dive shop that we used in Simpson Bay. We walked to Suki's store each morning for a fresh baguette to make sandwiches for our daily outing. Some nights, we used the grill to make a meal when we stayed in. I think we ate every single meal out on the patio as it was so pretty. The managers, Frank and Sandy, were outstanding- so helpful and full of information and just great people! We loved everything about St. Maarten and hope to be back. We really enjoyed Orient Beach, Friar's Bay, Bay Rouge, many restaurants in Grand Case, driving around the island and seeing other beaches, and diving with Ocean Explorers. When we do come back, we'd love to stay at the villas again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

My Wife, my son and myself had a wonderful time at your villa. It was clean, comfortable and full of supplies. The location was great and we felt very safe.
Everything we needed was in the kitchen. The TV and wireless were nice. The bathrooms were beautiful. Frank and Sandy, your onsite managers, were also very helpful and kind.
I can't think of any improvements we would suggest.
We would definitely recommend your villa to our friends and family. Once we travel a bit more and explore the world I'm sure we'll realize that your villa will be one of the best and come again.

WOW! The first time in years my husband, Type A, finally felt the sand in his toes! Not that we haven't been to beaches before, many from Mexico to New Zealand, but he finally realized the island time. We LOVED your place! Step into the pool, to the beach, walk downtown via the road or beach, try the casino, or rent a car for the week (like we did) and do the island tour and become a foodie! We were there BEFORE the renos and can't wait to return for the pleasure of the after! Apologize it took so long to do a write up,.. we were there Easter 2010 ,.. and the Bunny found the kids! I'd highly recommend! Loved the effect on the husband! St. Martin take us away (again soon)!!!!!

Our stay at The Villas on Great Bay

This place is amazing. Beautiful view of the bay, great pool, wonderful beach and close to everything we needed. The villa is very clean, comfortable and had everything a person needed to feel like you were at home. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had and highly recommend it. Property Managers Frank and Sandy are the best. They were very helpful with recommendations on dining, shopping and sightseeing. We had wonderful meals from The Greenhouse and Chesterfields. There is a little beach front place down from the Villa that was fun, just walk down the beach and you can't miss it. We did rent a car and it was handy for going to the store. We did a drive around the island and went to Friars Bay on the French side. It was an interesting road to the beach. Back in Kansas we would call it a cow path and sure enough we met a bull walking down the road when we left! The island is beautiful and we are trying to figure out when we can return for another stay at Great Bay.
