Silver Shells Resort is Destin’s premier vacation location directly on the Gulf of Mexico and close to all the other vacation destinations and activities in Destin. The St. Croix building presides at the center of this complex and offers an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico, white sand, and emerald waters that cannot be adequately described. You will be awestruck by the view from the 14th floor, directly below the penthouse level. Dining on the balcony for breakfast, lunch or dinner is accompanied by speakers connected to the stereo system tuner. You can enjoy your favorite CD or radio station while basking in the view of white sand and emerald waters. Bring your binoculars to watch the dolphins and boats as they navigate the crystal blue waters.

Each room has ceiling to floor sliding glass doors for easy access to the balcony. New for 2010 are light blocking drapes in each bedroom. Decorated with ease of living in mind, each room reflects a slightly different tropical theme. Colors are bright and cheerful so the day’s activities are extended into the evening hours.

The living room has an entertainment center with DVD and VHS capacity. The tuner is connected to speakers throughout the unit so all rooms can receive audio. Each room has individual controls, allowing volume setting to be personalized.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with a wall mounted TV/VHS and a DVD player so viewing from bed is comfortable. The walk in closet allows for ample storage. The master bath has Jacuzzi bath and a separate tiled shower. Newly added in 2010 are sun blocking drapes in both bedrooms

Sleeping arrangements are completed with a queen sleeper sofa in the living room and twin beds in the Gulf front bedroom. The guest room also has a wall mounted TV/VHS and a DVD player. The guest bath has a large tiled shower and full sized washer and dryer.

Your assigned parking space is next to the elevator entrance in the underground garage. A definite plus when the summer sun is in its fullest glory.

Poolside you will find a wading pool and a playground for the toddlers in your group. Pool furniture is on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be reserved - but the cabana is your special luxury for your private use while our guests. You can escape the heat of the day or store your drinks, snacks, or meals without having to run up to the condo or carry a cooler down. These are the envy of all poolside.

The cabana is air conditioned and has a microwave, TV with DVD player, a refrigerator, a half bath, and a futon couch. The table and chairs can be moved outdoors or left inside for your poolside convenience.

I have lived around the Destin Emerald Beach area since 1956. Traveling with my military family gave me exposure to many vacation destinations around the world - none compare to Destin for activities, food, and attractions. My desire is for your family to experience the unparalleled amenities of the Destin area and to begin your family memories here.

What makes this condo unique

St. Croix at Silver Shells is a private resort. The atmosphere rivals any 'off shore' resort with the added convenience of still being in the States. We enjoy the pool and cabana to make the most of our vacation time with the least hassle. Nearby restaurants are icing on the cake since we can walk to several including Ruth's Chris right on the property.

Absolutely wonderful

This is an excellent place to stay as a snowbird or just vacationing. Great swimming pools, hot tubs and health center easily accessed. The view of the beach is perfect! I watched dolphins swim by and watched boat traffic, sea kayaks and paddle boarders. This was a working vacation for me so the internet access was great also. I was visiting friends that had actually stayed in this unit previously so I thought I knew pretty much what I was getting in to. It was even better than that. I hadn't cooked here before so all the pots and pans were readily available and good to cook with. I don't want to come back...I just want to stay forever!

Perfect family place!

We just returned from our amazing week in Destin. This was our 3rd time to stay at Silver Shells and this unit is Perfect! It is very clean, has everything you need and the Pool Side Cabana was the best! So nice to be able to stash the beach gear in and for the kids to have a place to take a break from the sun & fun. We will e renting this unit again next summer!

UNIT WAS NICE; THE SCREEN ON THE PATIO DOOR WAS TORN AND THERE WERE NO CLOTHES HANGERS AT ALL (WE LEFT SOME). OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS NICE! THE OWNERS WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH GETTING US WHAT WE NEEDED TO GET TO THE CONDO! WE WOULD DEFINITLY STAY HERE AGAIN!

Great Resort; Great Condo/Cabana, Great Beach, Great facility; Great pool. Did I use the word Great too often? Good and easy people to work with. When we return to Destin we would again want to stay in this Condo.

My wife and I enjoyed an amazing long weekend at this property in May of 2011. The Silver Shells Resort is one of the nicest on the Gulf and offers so many ammenities theres no reason to even leave the property. The codo itself is perfect ! Great views of Gulf and Lagoon Pool. You really could not ask for more of the Condo's interior. The owner has to be the easiest I have ever rented from. Fast response and very helpful through the whole process. I found the price to be one of the most resonable in the whole resort especially with the Cabana by the pool included. The convience of the Cabana is priceless. I plan on returning for years to come!

Our Home Away from Home!

We have stayed in this condo for two years now and plan on returning again and again! The condo is very comfortably furnished and is a great floor plan for traveling with another couple/small family. Both bedrooms and baths are great size and the beds are comfortable. The main living area is great size as well and the kitchen is big enough for several people to help out with the cooking! Both bedroooms and the living room have a beautiful view of the pool, beach and coast line in each direction. The cabana is awesome as it gives you a great, convenient place to store all your beach and pool toys! We can't wait to go again and love this condo!!

Fabulous place!

My family just returned from a fabulous vacation in Destin, specifically St Croix unit 1405. The condo is in excellent condition, beautiful views of the pool and ocean, and everything you need to be at "home". Silver Shells is a large complex, but you see the same people each day...some times making friends along the way. This unit also includes a cabana by the pool. Essential in making a day at the pool or beach easy. The owner was great to work with and we are hoping to return next year!

We have been Snowbirds in Destin for several years. This beautiful condo truly became a home away from home. The owner is a delight to work with. The pictures by no means do it justice....CLEAN, fully equipped and the beds are COMFORTABLE, not to mention the warmth of music in each room and the balcony. Enjoy your stay, but don't count on being a Snowbird....we have already claimed it for 3 months next Winter!
