Happy Birthdays celebration

Review Submitted: September 9, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had a blast. We were celebrating our husbands birthdays and fishing. We arrived on Friday August 28 and it started raining. It rained until we left on Monday morning August 31, 2009. Oh Well. The occomodations were wonderful, well taken care of and in a beautiful location. We made the most of our rainy weekend. Enjoyed the sites and sounds of Alexandria Bay. We still managed to go out and fish in the rain though. Took the tour boat around the islands it was well worth it. Beautiful area. We will be back
Thank to you Anna.
Z.P.D.T.
Owner's Response: The town of Alexandria Bay and nearby Clayton plan many activities to keep visitors entertained no mater what the weather does. If you have your passport, Canada is just minutes away for other adventures. The St Lawrence River is a facinating place to visit.

Wedding Weekend

Review Submitted: October 20, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
My friends and I had a wonderful time spending the weekend in Alex Bay. We were so happy to have our own space, including a great kitchen and bathroom with double sink and mirror. I am hooked on using HomeAway and can't see myself staying in a hotel in the near future. Anne, the owner, couldn't have been more accomodating. Although we never met, I felt like I knew her after phone conversations. The townhouse was clean, comfortable and cozy! I would recommend it to anyone!

Great place

This place is great! It is clean, well decorated with comfortable furniture! There is a screened-in deck overlooking the water that is great for hanging out at night. The location couldn't be better, only seconds from Alexandria Bay by car or by boat. It's right across the street from a major drug store, which came in handy many times. The boat dockage was amazing. Its in such a protective cove, that I never had to worry about my brand new boat hitting the dock or getting damaged due to wind or waves caused by traffic. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a stove, oven, microwave and everything you'll need to have great meals. We really enjoyed our stay.
Owner's Response: The guests that visit are always pleasant and friendly. They find many things close by in summer to keep very busy. (This is especially true if they are lucky enough to be boat owners, like these folks. Infact this party had 2 boats.) We apperciate the time guests take to comment.on their vacation.

We rented the otter street house over Memorial day weekend 2009. It worked very well for all of us. We could make meals, the kids could fish right out our door. We would recommend this house to anyone staying in Alex Bay. Betsy Alexander New York
Owner's Response: Fish aren't gauranteed, but the fishing is another fun way to pass the time here.

Great Place to Stay

Review Submitted: June 20, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The photos and description were extremely accurate and the property was clean and very well maintained. The owner was reachable by phone and was able to answer any questions we had. The housekeeper also checked frequently if we needed anything. The townhouse was perfect for my husband, myself, our 7 month old son and dog. We had a fantastic time. The water views from the backyard deck, gazebo and master bedroom are just spectacular. The townhouse is located just a few short blocks to town. There is a pharmacy just across the street and having a little one, we frequently walked over there. Our favorite restaurant in Alex Bay was the restaurant in the Riveredge Resort and a breakfast restaurant in Clayton called the Koffee Kove. We had a great week for our first time in the Thousand Island region and are looking forward to possibly coming again next year. If we do come back next year, we may come either during the wine festival which is Father's Day weekend or during the Pirate festival. We did appreciate the quiet of the week prior to the season starting. Thanks Anne for your hospitality!

Great Location, Clean, Good Owner

Review Submitted: April 22, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Stayed for 4 nights for Easter weekend. House was clean with a nice location on the water. Would stay again. Thanks Ann.
Owner's Response: This is great to hear from a renter (and to have "early in the season" renters). Alexandria Bay is only gearing up for summer now. We hadn't even finished fence, garden, and lawn repair when Easter arrived and this family visited. I meet (by phone, if not in person) the finest people when renting out my places through the Homeaway system.
Thanks,
Anne

Excellent accommodations at Alexandria Bay

Mrs. Rogers was kind enough to let us rent for two days for a local wedding. Our family had both sides of the townhouse. Naturally we did not take advantage of some of the attributes which would be important to normal vacationers -- i.e., the kitchen facilities, the boat dock, etc. Nevertheless, the townhouse was very comfortable, and the screened in porch on the upper dock was a great place to relax in the evening. The location was perfect -- within walking distance of the town's restaurants and nightlife. The television, both upstairs and down, pulled in scores of stations -- for those who might be trapped inside on a rainy day. The only drawback was the lack of a second bathroom or downstairs "powder room", as the line for the bathroom could get long.
