A great little place with an awesome view! The house was clean and comfortable and the owners were great to work with. An easy drive to Lexington and everything the area has to offer. Will definitely look to the Ridge again when making our next visit!

Great cabin

I stayed at the Ridge for a long weekend with my wife and 2 girls. The cabin was a good size for us and very clean. The girls had a great time hiking around on trails around the cabin. We went up to the "top" of the property and the view was truly stunning. Even though you feel completely out in the country, the cabin is less than 10 minutes to Lexington. John, the owner, was helpful and easy to communicate with. Whenever I stay in Lex in the future, it will be at the Ridge.

Warm, Cozy, Romantic Getaway

At the Ridge, I discovered a peaceful getaway with spectacular views, a cozy place to share a romantic weekend with my girl to celebrate our 1st year anniversary. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner John was very helpful, providing excellent customer service. We visited the caverns, went horse back riding, painted the sunset at the peak of the trail. Spent our evenings by the fireplace sharing a home cooked meal. A memorable weekend, we hope to return again soon.

Perfect romantic getaway!

Hyattsville Hyattsville, MD
Review Submitted: February 16, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
My partner and I had a fantastic time at the Ridge for valentine's day. The cottage was gorgeous, perfectly appointed, secluded, and had a spectacular view. We were completely cozy and found that the house had everything we needed. Whenever we said, "oops, we forgot to bring...," we would find it already supplied - a well-equipped kitchen, playing cards, paper towels, you name it!

It was spotless and had lots of room. We really had a perfect weekend of rest and relaxation and we'd love to come back again sometime!

Gorgeous Views

We just got back from a week at The Ridge. A very peaceful place to go with excellent views of the mountains. You don't want to leave. We took our breakfasts out on the deck, read on the deck, and just stood there transfixed. A couple of deer came on the property one evening; we ate blackberries on the trail that goes to the top of the mountain - a must-see view there too. The town of Lexington is quite nice also, and very close, but we spent almost every day out riding the roads on our motorcycle. Lots of beautiful scenery everywhere!

Relaxing mountain retreat

Review Submitted: August 5, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
The Ridge was the epitome of a quiet and peaceful vacation destination. The solitude and natural surroundings
were just what we needed to escape our busy lives. The
short hike up the mountain every day was great exercise
and totally beautiful. We enjoyed picking blackberries and
watching the deer and a family of turkeys. There were many interesting sites in the area that we also visited. We
would definitely visit The Ridge again.

Spectacular views

Snorpes Memphis, TN

The pictures of the views do not do this property justice! Just stunning! We very much enjoyed the comfortable cabin and it couldn't have been more private. Even saw deer and fox while were there, which was a real thrill for us. Owners were very accomodating and appreciated our privacy. Only drawback is the small shower stall, but we managed. The location is great and afforded us a central location to all of the sightseeing we wanted to do..

Our vacation

If you are looking for a well maintained cabin with all the amenities of home and a view to die for, you must stay at the Ridge.

Only ten minutes from downtown Lexington, the Ridge is the ideal cabin for anyone seeking peace and quite in an incredible country setting. The owner has provided a warm cabin with all the extras you could imagine. I would recommend the Ridge to all the members of my family and friends who just want to let go of the regular routines of life.

We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy the Ridge had to offer, and I guarantee couples and families will enjoy their stay rain or shine.

The on-line description is very accurate with respect to the location, layout, amenities, etc., but the pictures of the mountain view can only be appreciated from personally standing on the wrap-around porch.

What a wonderful location as well as a comfortable home for the family. Exceptional views of mother nature, mountains and natural beauty in general.
Nice home to just kick back, have a BBQ on the deck, and enjoy some well deserved family conversation.
Far enough away from town for privacy but close enough to shop, visit and explore Lexington, VMI, and W & L.
Highly recommend this home and will return in the future.
Owners were quite nice and responded to our questions and offered up recommendations.
Hope to return soon!
