This newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath home is located within walking distance of Arizona State University and downtown Tempe. City bus routes and a new light rail system make this location very desirable. Close to Sun Devil Stadium, Grady Gammage Auditorium and the nightlife of this college town, this home is ideally located for those who want to vacation in a quiet neighborhood close to where the action is.
Executive as well as designer golf courses are nearby. A short drive will take you to the spring training facilities for the Angels, Athletics or Cubs. The Phoenix Zoo is less than five miles away.
The living room and all bedrooms are equipped with cable television. The beautifully landscaped backyard features a covered patio and gas grill. The interior of the house is newly furnished with contemporary furniture.

About Shirley Filliater
This was Shirley's first house, which she bought in 1985. When we got together and Pete's son moved in with us, we moved to a larger home two miles away. But, we love the university area. There is always something to do close by -- a concert, a festival, a sporting event, or just taking a walk. We will probably move back to our ASU house in the next few years so, when we recently remodeled it, we decorated it with care. We hope you enjoy! - Shirley and Pete -

I am most impressed with how easy and friendly Shirley and Peter are to work with. This is our second stay at this house and we feel so comfortable and love the decor and amenities.

What a Great Stay

Stayed eight days at Pete and Shirley's place. Felt like we were home. Excellent amenities from having coffee on hand and even a slow cooker. Like I said felt like we were at home. Pictures of there place were accurate and a vary clean house. Loved having TV's in every room. Even in the garage. Located with in walking distance of alot of things to do.

Home away from home!

This vacation home could not have been more perfect for our family! My husband and I and our 3 young adult sons and daughter-in-law stayed here for a week while we enjoyed spring training. Shirley was concerned that the house might be too small for 6 adults but we had plenty of space. Everything was just as had been promised. Very easy access to the different baseball spring training sites and everywhere else we wanted to go. Enjoyed a great hamburger at The Chuckbox, close to ASU. My husband especially enjoyed the back patio each morning as he drank his morning coffee. We definitely want to stay here again.

This property is "as advertised". Ultra clean, great location, great owners, and affordable. Our group consisted of five male snow birds from Wisconsin (ages 35-40). We enjoyed the great back yard patio, convenience of a kitchen complete with every gadget and utensil needed, and most of all the convenient location of the property. Restaurants were within walking distance and freeway access was quick.
We spent much of our time attending Brewers spring training games in Maryvale. Tempe is a much nicer area to stay than Maryvale. The drive time was a quick 20 minutes and downtown Phoenix and other attractions were equally close or closer.
We can't thank Shirley enough for the ease of the whole transaction. From initial booking to our departure, she was professional and courteous. Thank you once again!

i cannot say enough good things about the home. we came for the ironman race and it was the perfect house. ride around bikes available, could walk to restaurants and the race. and all the beds and linens were so comfy. not one complaint. will come back for sure!

Great for a Family

This house has plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out. It was great for kids - big back yard and the park is a 1/2 block away. Hosts are really nice people who are helpful and accomodating. The location is walking distance from at least a dozen great restaurants (Mexican, Thai, Italian, etc.) and bars and a short drive to the Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix Zoo, South Mountain Park, and more.

A Real Gem

We truly enjoyed our stay in this little gem of home. There were four of us and it was perfect. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our meals. The location is fantastic, my brother-in-law took a bike ride around Tempe town lake and along Mill Ave. It was very clean and cozy!! Nicely remodeled older home with a great modern look and feel. Excellent backyard & patio, very well maintained. We hope to get back and stay again in the future.

This was my family's third time staying at Pete and Shirley's ASU house. We LOVE the house, Pete and Shirley are the BEST! Booking our next visit now to see our son at ASU for Spring Break. Trust me, you won't find a better house or owners.

I LOVED this place. Super clean and close to ASU which was our primary reason for being in town! I would definitely stay again! Quiet neighborhood right next to a park. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We will be back and hopefully get to stay with you again!.
