Wonderful stay at the condo

One of the most relaxing weekends ever. The condo was exceptionally clean. Sandy was awesome to deal with and was very thorough with all of the details. I would encourage visitors to visit smith mountain stables for a trail ride. We had an awesome time. Those renting from Sandy will not be disappointed. I had everything I needed but a most enjoyable stay.
Owner's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo! The owners at Smith Mountain Stables are very nice. The stables are close to the SML Dam Visitor Center and both are easy to visit in the same day.
Very Relaxing Getaway

My wife and I spent our first anniversary here in late October 2009. We were looking for a quiet place with a nice, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. We found it. The lake is quiet that time of year and there were not a lot of people around. The condo was very well maintained and clean. All of the amenities were there and we didn't have to bring anything other than typical vacation gear. The condo is very close to shopping and restaraunts but still maintains a distance from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My wife and I would stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful time.

This was the most enjoyable vaction I have had in years .The condo was very nice and cozy,it was well stocked with every thing. The rental process was quick and easy. The owners was very friendly easy to deal with and i want to thank them for an awesome vacation.

Whenever we have the itch to get to the Lake, we always stay in Sandy’s condo at Bernard’s. It’s clean and modern and beautifully furnished, and the bed is very comfortable. But the big draw is that Sandy’s condo has the best view on the lake. Now add the convenience of the courtesy dock and a short walk to the finest restaurant in SML, and there’s no reason to look elsewhere. Sandy is great to work with. She is extremely professional in answering emails promptly and sending rental documents; at the same time she is very warm and personable in offering suggestions for activities and restaurants, and in inquiring about our stay. Sandy's condo is OUR home away from home -- without the mortgage payment!

It was one of the best vacations we have ever taken.
I can't believe that I have lived in Va. all my life & never discovered the wonder of SML.
The condo was tastefully & comfortably furnished.
We could not get over how peaceful it was! We are early risers & enjoying our coffee on the patio before the sun came up each morning was a treasure we will long remember.
We would love to use the condo again.

This was our 2nd stay at Couple's Retreat. All the same apply as stated before. Sandy was great to work with and very accomodating. Check-in was a breeze. We love the convenience of the on site boat ramp and secure storage for our trailer. We made use of the courtesy dock, just below the condo. The dock is located in a protected cove, which means our boat doesn't get jostled around from the wake of other boats. The pool, tennis courts, sandy beach, and on site restaurant make Bernard's the top choice for our family.
The condo is tastefully appointed and has all the comforts of home. We will continue to stay here each time we visit the lake. Please feel free to e-mail us if you have additonal questions about visiting the lake.

2/27/06- Great for a weekend getaway!We enjoyed the condo so much. It was tastfully decorated and fully equipped. Very comfortable and has a nice view of the mountains and the lake. Reasonably priced. I would highly recommmend it for couples.

We found the condo at Smith Mountain Lake to be very enjoyable! The lake view is beautiful and so relaxing and the furnishings inside are just lovely.

My husband and I stayed in the condo, along with our 20 month old son, from 7/17-7/24. We had a great time! The condo was very comfortable and we couldn't have asked for a better view! My husband enjoyed being able to walk down to the docks and go fishing. Our son loved running around on the grass and playing in the kiddie pool. The bedroom was very spacious. We had plenty of room for his pack-n-play. We liked the fact the condo was well stocked w/ the essentials: coffeemaker, coffee, and filters! lol! The guestbook w/ comments from other renters was GREAT! It gave us lots of ideas on things to do. And the book that the Knox's left was awesome! We loved the map, restaurant menus and other ideas that were in it. I have to say that this is the best place that we've found online and would highly recommend it for anyone else!
