This was our 4th vrbo property during our 6 week hawaiian adventure and it was stunning. The pictures do not show how great this property is. The main shower room is amazing, better than a luxury hotel. The view over the bay to chinamans hat is amazing and we could not have had a better view for our breakfast or evening meal. The property is ideally located for exploring the island of oahu in our opinion. There is great beaches within about 10-15 min, that are so much better than Waikiki in our opinion. Lanikai beach is stunning,
It was a lovely drive to the north shore and the beautiful beaches there too, and only took about 30 minutes to drive to pearl harbour, koloa ranch is less than 10 minutes away, and if you must it was only about 30 minutes to Waikiki.
The beds were very comfortable, the lounge and dining area are lovely and it was a great place, the apartment offers everything you need,
One of the neighbours even walks his giant tortoise down the road in late afternoon!
Anita was a fantastic host, we cannot thank her enough for letting us stay here, as this was an ideal place to stay to end our adventure. Thank you Anita. We would love to stay here in the future and we will recommend her accomodation to anyone who is visiting Oahu.
Forever in our memories, and our "heart skips, skips, skips a beat!"

We had a wonderful time staying here during our recent return to Oahu. We loved the beautifully decorated and immaculately clean rental. It looks just as the pictures present it! We loved being in a neighborhood and feeling like we lived there. We walked in the neighborhood each morning and were even able to explore the bay at the end of the street during the low tide of the full moon.
Our hosts provided beach chairs,a cooler and towels so we could conveniently head to the beach each day. They were willing to help us with choosing restaurants and finding great waterfalls--like having a friend there. They were most helpful. Despite being across the island from Honolulu and many of the tourist attractions, this is still the place I would want to stay if I ever returned. Life is more serene here--what a vacation should be! If you ever stay here be sure to eat at Haleiwa Joe's and go to Waihehe Falls and the Byodo In Temple which are only 15 minutes from the rental.

We had a wonderful time here and the pictures were very accurate. If anything, the place was better than described. Very clean and the whole property was well kept.

Anita was incredible and very responsive to any requests. The kitchen was great and there was even a step stool for those of us vertically challenged - rather high cabinets! I was somewhat concerned that there wasn't any air conditioning, but with the ceiling fans, we were always very comfortable.

Staying in a neighborhood was nice and all the neighbors we met were very friendly, and we really got a kick out of one of them 'walking' is tortoise every day! This is our 4th trip and have stayed in the Kaneohe/Kailua area each time - we the like the proximity to shopping, beaches, and highways that can take us anywhere on the island.

We would highly recommend staying here for a restful, relaxing and refreshing vacation.

I am so happy to have found this lovely place and can't wait to return. I live on an outer island and this property felt like home. The view of Mokoli'i island resting in the ever changing shades of blue ocean was magical. The trade winds bless this hale throughout the day and although we stayed in August which is our hottest weather, it was incredibly nice and cool. It is in a safe & peaceful neighborhood and close to shopping and best of all hiking trails. Because we come to attend and annual class we never eat out and this kitchen was perfect for us. Had everything we needed to cook our healthy homemade meals. Mahalo nui loa Anita & Tom for creating such a warm and inviting getaway. You were so helpful attending to every need of ours. We are so very grateful. Kalena & 'Ohana.

This place was absolutely beautiful. Who can have a better view of the bay every morning and enjoy a nice breathtaking breakfast and hot coffee with the wife and kids on the Lanai at the round table soaking in the view and listening to the roosters in the background. The view is so clear that you can see the waters through the Lanai windows as far away from the kitchen. It was like being in paradise.

My family of 5 enjoyed our 5 night stay here. We couldn't have picked a perfect place to start-off our first family vacation on Oahu. At first, the property felt very secluded and seemed like everything was 100 miles away from civilization, but once you get used to the roads, everything is so unbelievably close by. Kaneohe is only about 10-15 min. away down the local highways. That's where you'll find most of grocery stores (Safeway, Longs, Walgreens, Foodland).

The kitchen was modern and updated. Nice granite counter-tops, big dining table with fresh papaya and comfy couches to sit in. Also included is a big flat screen tv and my favorite corner chair next to the same TV where you can get cozy and lazy after a day's travel around the island's offerings. My twin daughters slept in one room with a full or queen size, I forget, while my wife and son slept in the other room with the queen (I slept on the floor on the convertible fold-out cushion and slept like a baby). The bathrooms were clean and adequate as well.

The driveway is quite steep and only a rope marks how far you can stop and park your car. We drove an SUV that always had the tendency to roll backwards even though I had the car in the drive gear. There are 3 boogie boards that you can use (not sure if it was left by previous owners). The unit has WIFI, but was spotty at times. The only place I found it with a strong signal was on the "thinking throne" in the bathroom. LOL. You just have to find the right spots in the house.

There is a tenant living above you but they seem hardly noticeable. Due to our hectic sightseeing schedule, we never got to meet our host Anita. One time, we asked her if she had a night-light and she kindly went out of her way to getting us one for the kids.

Overall, the place is very quiet, peaceful and pleasant. The listing description was accurate and the property clean and well maintained. The unit also includes a washer and dryer to wash your clothing. Be sure to Visit nearby Kailua and Lanikai Beaches. This is a must!! Will stay here again!!

Bayview Retreat is one of the most amazing places to stay in the world. It's extremely comfortable, clean, quite and has nice breezes running through the house (air conditioning is definitely not needed). It's very convenient to access from all areas of Oahu and has many close by restaurants and sights to see. Anita who owns Bayview Retreat is also extremely courteous and a great host. Staying here is a definite treat and the view from the lanai is one in a million. We will definitely come back to stay here again!!

We stayed a few days before going to the Big Island. The apartment was more than we expected. Very clean, all the essential you needed and the kitchen had it all. We ate breakfast and sat for hours on the lanai enjoying the view of the bay. Even though the apartment is part of a house, you never heard anyone else. Anita made some great recommendations for massage and day trips which we really enjoyed. We look forward to our next trip to Hawaii and would definitely stay here and recommend it to others. The pictures are true to what the apartment looks like.
