JULY and August 2013 can be booked now. July and August at this point rent for five nights, minimum, and if you rent for a week, you not only get a slightly lower rate, you get one night free. Email for more info. NEED A COMPANY RETREAT? WE CAN TAKE UP TO 8-10 OF YOU...Our fridge can hold a lot of beer and wine so you can really get stuff accomplished. WE HAVE TWO HOT TUBS, INCLUDING THE LARGEST COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION TUB FOR PRIVATE USE. THE LARGEST PRIVATE TUB ON THE SEA RANCH(that we know of). This house is perfect for one large family, or two medium size families, or three small families :). WE ARE ON THE OCEAN SIDE OF HIGHWAY 1. NO CROSSING THE BUSY HIGHWAY TO GET TO THE WATER. We can accomodate up to 10 people. Our rates are from $300 to $500 per night, with lower rates available for mid week rentals off season, entire week rentals January, and weekly rentals get one night free. YOU CANNOT FIND A HOUSE AS CHEAP AND AS NICE AS OURS THAT SLEEPS TEN PEOPLE (that we know of)...unless of course you are looking to rent Jed Clampit's old place, and we heard they had a rodent infestation last March...Pee Wee's accomodations (Play House) can sleep ten, but that is one person in the house and 9 on the front lawn. Weekly rentals in January will get a super discounted rate, please email if interested.

OUR PLACE: The main house has a Master (one king) with private bath, a second bedroom (queen) with shower a short hallway away, and the upstairs loft has two twins. In a pinch , a built-in reading seat can double as a twin.

The cottage has a queen and a bunk with a twin uptop and a full below, and it's own separate bathroom with shower. Please see the AVAILABILITY CALENDAR at the bottom of this page for dates not rented ... with the upstairs loft, two couples with lots of children can have a VERY comfortable stay, with the children upstairs and/or in the cottage.

PETS ARE WELCOME AT OUR SEA RANCH HOUSE. WE ONLY ASK THAT THEY GET A TRIP TO THE GROOMER OR A 1/2 HOUR WITH THE GARDEN HOSE OR BATHTUB AT YOUR PLACE BEFORE BRINGING THEM. HELPS KEEP THE PLACE FRESH AND CLEAN. ALSO, WE ASK THAT YOU PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET ON THE SEA RANCH GROUNDS AND IN OUR YARD.

The house is on the OCEAN SIDE of Highway 101, is wind protected, and is perfectly situated to afford a blue water ocean view from all ground floor rooms (except bathrooms and cottage) and also has one other unique characteristic... make that two... we have the LARGEST HOT TUB ON THE SEA RANCH, and we have a second, smaller hot tub in the court yard area for a more intimate dip.

The large hot tub is on the deck facing the blue water views and open meadow area... truly spectacular on a night with a full moon. We are protected on even the most windy days, yet a chardonnay glass walk away from the breaking waves. PLEASE CHECK THE CALENDAR. IT IS UP TO DATE MOST OF THE TIME. We just returned from an amazing three days with our family! This is a spacious home which accommodated ten of us quite comfortably. We have rented many homes at Sea Ranch in the past, but we all agreed that this was the best because of the open floor plan which connects to the deck ( we spent a lot of time out there). The grand kids ages 11-16 loved the large comfortable studio but also loved spending time on the deck with us. Great location for bike riding, walking on the bluff, beaches and pools! The owner was extremely cordial and the rental agency was quite accommodating. We will definitely return, hopefully for a longer stay- none of wanted to leave!

An Urban Escape

Just came back from spending 3 days here with my family for my birthday. What a perfect birthday gift it was. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and had everything one could need (and more). The owner was great to work with and very accommodating. Incredible views! Separate outside studio was perfect for my husband and I to "get away" from the group occasionally and relax. Cozy closed-in courtyard for added privacy. Loved it so much, we hardly left the house during our stay. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Time Had By All

We stayed in January for several days and secured the terms of the rental with the owner but paid through the rental agency (Oceanview Properties). The owner was responsive and very friendly.

We experience great weather (only one day of rain) and amazing sunrises / sunsets. This is a well appointed home with lots of elbow room for large parties. My mom stayed in the guest house which provided nice privacy and allowed the rest of us to sleep in - she is an early riser. The home is conveniently located near the Del Mar Rec Center and the town of Gualala. It is also easy walking distance to Del Mar Point which provides great rock climbing, whale and seal watching. We made all meals in the home which has a nice selection of pots & pans for serious chefs. The hot tub on the back patio is truly the largest I have ever seen! The home has an enclosed garden area which is very convenient for vacationers who bring their dog (we brought ours - he's still smiling). A wonderful time was had by all and we will absolutely recommend Urban Escape to others.

Fun getaway retreat

Our family has regularly vacationed at Sea Ranch for the past 15 years, renting various homes but Urban Escape is the best yet. My pre-teen nieces loved hiding out in the loft while our young grandchildren were able to nap in the quiet of the detached studio. At night we enjoyed watching the stars as we soaked in the hot tub out on the central deck. The home is located a short walk from the bluff. There were tidepools that the kids in our group could explore. On the particular trip, we were lucky enough to see a pod of whales making its way South. We are thinking of making Urban Escape the place we hold our annual family retreat!

the home has a great open feeling that allows for cooking and being a part of the rest of the family. Worked out well for 2 families staying together and the guest house was great for the kids. The home was well equipped and felt very comfortable. Great lot with a beautiful row of coastal trees and view of the ocean.
