Only a few minutes from downtown Healdsburg. Safeway market is closest supermarket. Just up the hill from Westside Road wineries. The deck is large and a nice place to sit. View of the woods. Pool table and full Directv. Comfy bed upstairs. Only cautions: No freezer or stovertop in kitchenette. One Bathroom, upstairs. We enjoyed our stay and would be back.

The house is very nice and very easy too find. It is not that far of a drive from downtown Healdsburg. We enjoyed our time at the cottage quit a bit. We made breakfast (which even thought there is no stove using the grill is quit easy). We enjoyed the huge back deck that the house had as well. We spent most of our time at the cottage either out on the deck or up in the loft bedroom. The furniture in the downstairs area is old and dusty and with all of the allergy problems my wife has she refused to sit on them. The bedroom upstairs and the rest of the house was very clean though. The furniture upstairs was very nice and we found that to be where we chilled and watched TV in the evenings. There is also a pool table downstairs that was fun to have in the evenings at the house as well. The bed was so comfortable I can't believe we got out of it in the mornings. Overall we had one of the best weekends away at a house we have ever had.

There were a couple of negatives though. One was the covers on the furniture downstairs were really old and dusty. Two was usually you have a book of instructions to go by for what needs to be done when arriving and leaving the house, there was not a book or any other instructions or information. The third issue wasn't a bad one just kind of annoying. When we first looked for a place we looked for quite and seclusion. We knew this house was adjacent to the owners house but all of the prior reviews said they were really private and nice. We did get a chance to meet them as they were headed off for the weekend and they were nice. The problem was all of the traffic on and off of the property. There were about four different cars in all that drove by at all hours of the day making the seclusion and privacy seem like that of a normal hotel/motel. This is the only reason it gets a four star from me and not a five star.

A great retreat! We wanted a quiet, peaceful setting with nature surrounding us and that is exactly what we got! We loved our stay! Everything was comfortable, clean and convenient to downtown and close to everything we wanted! Visited many local vineyards and talked with many nice locals! We would definitely come back! Big Johns Market...great, Healdsburg General Store...fun, All vineyards...awesome!

What a pleasant surprise! Driving up through the beautiful gate to the cottage was even better than we expected after reading these reviews! The cottage was spacious, very clean, and deliciously quiet and secluded. Exactly what we needed this weekend...and the weather cooperated completely. Our golden retriever has now claimed the property as her own - she thoroughly enjoyed running and playing in the garden as well as exploring the woods - we spent some time in the sun on the large and lovely deck, listening to the birds...ah, it was fantastic - thank you Don and Janette for sharing your wonderful place with us...It was an ideal location for enjoying Healdsburg - we toured Hafner Winery and Topel Tasting room...and walked all over town - the best breakfast was at Costeaux Bakery, and we really liked our dinner at Baci - Thanks again!

The photos do not do this rental justice. It was much more than I anticipated. The other reviews are correct. This cottage is secluded from the owners home and is completely quiet and peaceful. The upstairs master suite is lovely and there are windows all around. The property is fenced, so our dogs enjoyed being off leash. We loved watching the stars from the deck at night. The owners are very hospitable. Great location near Healdsburg and wineries in Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River Valleys.

Great location, well placed for all of our wine tasting experiences. Amazingly beautiful & peaceful, outside deck was lovely late afternoon sitting in the sun. Cottage had everything we needed and the owners Don & Janette (and Ryder their gorgeous black lab) were lovely and were there if and when we needed them. All in all, after wine tasting during the day, the cottage was lovely to come back to every evening.

We had a great stay in the cottage and it couldn't have been easier to plan and enjoy our time. We enjoyed the cottage and the seclusion that it offered for quiet nights and seeing all the stars. Everything was just right for us with comfortable bedding, outside patio to enjoy and the easy access to Healdsburg and opportunities to tour wineries and enjoy the area. Thank you so much!
