Perfect for large group

My wife, our 2 kids and their families spent a week at the villa in August '09 and we were well pleased with everything. We spent a couple of days at Sea World and a couple of days at the riverwalk and had opportunities to do a lot more but we were always ready to get back to hanging out at the house and that great pool. The media room with tons of movies, the spacious rooms with big screen tv's, the pool area, the grill, the views, and the Guadalupe River park made this a great place to stay. With the drought that this area is suffering, this was our oasis.

Our family stayed at this home for one week in August. The accommodations were excellent!!! The house had everything we needed and more! It was more than enough room for 3 families. The pool was luxurious and very cool for the Summer heat! It was hard to leave the house for other local outings! It was a vacation in itself. I felt like I was on a tropical getaway with all the beautiful palms and the villa style home. The surrounding area and views were great and made the perfect backdrop for family photos and lots of great memories! Nancy, the owner, was extremely helpful and attentive to our every need and question before and during our stay! She wants your time here to be enjoyed. We’ve made a friend for life! Can’t wait to stay here again someday!

My family (11 total) spent a week at this property. The house is beautiful, clean and well furnished. The owner was great. We only needed a couple of things and she was polite and prompt in meeting our needs. The pool was wonderful and the kids loved the slide. The media room was a fun extra as well. We all enjoyed the views and watching the deer in the mornings and evenings.

We did not go down to the river until the end of the week and we wished we had gone down sooner. There was a rope swing that the kids used to swing into the river. It was a very beautiful area

Our large family came together from three different states to enjoy this luxurious villa. The owners were there to meet us when we arrived to give us a grand tour and explain everything. The amenities were outstanding; the patios, pool, spa, bbq grill, theater and superb chefs kitchen. The spacious rooms also accommodated our large group comfortably. Thank you Nancy for accommodating us and being so helpful, we had a wonderful time! Highly recommend!

We found the house to be almost perfect for our annual family get-together. It was beautiful and we especially enjoyed the pool and outdoor grilling area. The upstairs movie room was a big hit with the kids. The owner was also responsive to our calls for assistance when we couldn't figure out how something worked. One drawback was that the water pressure was really low, which created some inconvenience. Overall I would recommend the house to others and would consider using it again.

This luxury home had a great floorplan with plenty of room. The backyard was truly relaxing...however, the home was misrepresented. It was not clean at all, and had problems. There was a broken bed, hot water was not working, the water pressure was to low to wash dishes and the dishwasher was broken and leaking onto the kitchen floor. We never saw the owner, however, she did send a repair man. The dishwasher was not fixed the entire time. There were dirty sheets and the owners personal belongings everywhere. We made the best of it, but it was a lot of work. The kitchen in particular was filthy with dirty dishes in the cabinets and very unorganized and hard to use. If you go, bring your own utensils, plates, pots & pans, and be prepared to clean for several hours...at least the washer and dryer worked to wash the sheets & towels!

We rented the villa for our annual family vacation in early June. Three married couples, two toddlers and a single lady. We had plenty of privacy with the conveniently zoned bedrooms and baths. Large kitchen and family area was comfortable for 9. We enjoyed lots to do in the area within a 30 - 45 minute drive including Sea World, San Antonio Riverwalk, music and dining in Gruene, shopping and history. The pool was a huge hit. House is designed for outside dining and grilling. Kids and adults enjoyed watching the deer wander through the area every evening. We recommend it for a group or family seeking a peaceful and private get away. Property owner/manager was responsive.

A sparkling pool for warm afternoons, an immaculately clean hot tub for cool evenings, a cushy porch swing for reading and napping, an upper deck to watch those Texas stars come out or to enjoy that first cup of morning coffee in the sunshine, a lovely & quiet neighborhood for walking and jogging, gourmet gas grill and big table for outdoor dining, a herd of deer grazing nightly just beyond the fence, plenty of shade when needed--all this with a gorgeous,nicely equipped house superior in every way. Our family of two parents and five 18-26 yr olds had a wonderfully relaxing and fun week. Our young people loved movies in the theater and playing games in the window-lined upstairs den! Downtown San Antonio is straight down Hwy 281, but it was so nice to come "home" to our relaxing villa in the hills away from the city bustle.Nice grocery 3/4 mile away; $10 tubing on the Guadalupe River is 1/2 mile away at the Hwy 281 bridge. Three reasonably priced golf courses within 15 miles (Hawk was encouraging for our novice golfers, Rocking J and River Crossing enjoyed by the more experienced). For a taste of Texas don't miss Gruene Hall, where Lyle Lovett and George Strait got started--live music nightly. Lots of antiques and shops in Gruene and Boerne (one is 20 miles east and the other 20 miles west on Hwy 46 which is the south side of the River Crossing subdivision). Wimberly is the most charming, though, and you drive the "devil's backbone" through the Hill Country to get there on RM 32 &12 (We did this side-trip on our way home). If you are driving from the north be sure to take loop west of Austin to Hwy 290 & 281 and skip the very heavy traffic on I-35 from Austin to New Braunfels. Thank you, Nancy, for a great week!
