This sophisticated and high style home, known as 'AMIGO,' is showcased on the cover of the 2009 Home and Design Issue of The Bottom Line Magazine. It is located less than a mile from the center of charming and beautiful downtown Palm Springs. AMIGO is walking distance to the convention center, the casino, or many restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. AMIGO is perfect for a get-away from your life at home - but is also equipped with WIFI, as well as an all in one printer/copier and fax machine, for those who need to do some business while enjoying the sunny relaxing desert lifestyle. The phone service comes with free long distance throughout the continental united states for calls as well as faxes.
Black slate floors and white beamed ceilings create a perfect backdrop for this art deco inspired home that was completely designed and furnished by 'Aesthetics.' The custom upholstered and professionally designed living room with fire and ice fireplace provides a great conversation and entertaining area. White raised panel cabinets, stainless steel GE profile appliances, 5 burner gas cook-top, under-cabinet lighting and black granite slab counters create a fully stocked and gorgeous cook's kitchen.
Imported pillow-edged white porcelain tiles line the walls to the ceiling in the main bathroom. The custom upholstered drapery, 1930's nickel plated wall sconces, and antique bamboo framed mirror make it a posh and pampering place to get ready for your day of shopping, afternoon game of tennis, or your night on the town.

I am a freelance architecture and interiors photographer from Seattle. I came to Palm Springs 13 years ago and fell in love with it. I designed and furnished 'AMIGO' from top to bottom when we gutted and completely remodeled it 8 years ago. I am a perfectionist with an eye for detail, and I scoured the country for all the pieces, hardware, light fixtures, and artwork that all came together as 'AMIGO'
I have owned and rented vacation rentals in Palm Springs for over 13 years now. I pride myself in knowing that the home has everything it could possibly need for someone to come to Palm Springs and thoroughly enjoy themselves and relax - without worrying about anything...
I specifically chose Ruth Hardy Park / Movie Colony East so that I would have the close proximity to downtown, the casino, and all the restaurants - yet be far enough out from the mountains so that I wouldn't lose the afternoon/evening sun too soon. Best of both worlds...
I am a solar panel - I thrive off of the sun - which is precisely why I chose Palm Springs to purchase a vacation home. Amigo has floor to ceiling windows in the family room that is flooded with light and provides an unparalleled mountain view at the same time. I love that the yard is completely walled and gated so that I can enjoy the pool and yard in complete privacy. And I also love that I am but a brisk one mile walk from the center of downtown Palm Springs - where I walk for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails...
