Cottage #1 at Gulf Sounds, the 'TREASURE' of Treasure Island beach cottages, is an easy, safe 30 yard stroll to the beach boardwalk and the pristine beaches of Treasure Island. Our bungalow/cottage is in a small, intimate resort and is very private yet in the middle of all the activities of Treasure Island and Madeira Beach. You can access the beach in less than a minute and easily walk to World Famous John's Pass with its numerous fresh seafood restaurants, unique shops, ice cream parlors, chartered fishing boats, and waterfront bars. The Beach trolley stops at our corner, so you can visit all the beaches for one low fare per day. A public boat ramp is across the street.
Our charming Key West style 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage has almost 700 square feet and has been recently repainted and redecorated with new furnishings and appliances. Our cottage offers beautiful oak hardwood floors, a fully stocked kitchen, a tiled bath, a queen sleeper sofa, a love seat, a comfortable side chair, coffee and end tables in the living room, and seating for four in the dining area. Gulf Sounds is lushly landscaped and offers a covered patio and charcoal barbeque grill, a second floor sundeck, outside shower, and a fully fenced property that provides exceptional privacy.

We are both transplanted New Englanders - Angela from Gloucester, MA and Ken from Medford, MA - just outside Boston (Go Sawks). We've been married for 36 years and together for 41, yet we're only 48 - go figure (lol). We've lived in a number of states and traveled some, but always wanted to be near the water. Our new Granddaughter brought us to FL.
As soon as we saw this cottage it felt like the beach we knew and loved. A bit of Key West, a touch of Cape Ann. And the best part - the beach is only steps away. It is a particularly wonderful stretch of beach - lots of shells, we've never seen it crowded, and it's just a short walk to the water. We've only owned the property a short time, but we're amazed at the number of people that have reserved time this year - and into next - who have been staying here for years. We guess they enjoy it like we do.
You don't need a car to access a range of eateries, live music, deep sea fishing tours, boat rentals, parasailing, jet ski rentals, and so much more. Many options are available a short walk away at John's Pass. The Beach Trolley stops in front of Gulf Sounds and will take you up and down the beach or to the local supermarket - Publix - along Gulf Blvd. But the gem is our beach. Access is only steps away from the cottage.
