Perfect Getaway

Photographs are fully representative of the location and property. Fulfilled all expectations and therefore highly recommended. A perfect 'getaway' but still within striking distance of the city. Comfortable and well appointed. The property owner is friendly, responsive and helpful. There is no dishwasher or TV connection which may be an issue for some if staying longer than a few days or those with children.

We absolutely loved this cottage. Our family of 4 (kids 14 and 11) had a great time in the area (especially including the tide pools at Little Beach, just a short walk down the hill), and then returning to the cottage for relaxing evenings sitting on the deck. Our daughter refused to leave long after time to go! Victoria was extremely helpful in every way. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place to be! The cottage is gorgeous, the local views are amazing and the beach and hiking trails so easy to access and truly wonderful. Did not want to leave and will surely be back.

So near, yet so far away! What an incredible place you have. Truly amazing. We loved being able to walk to the Pelican Inn, the beach, and miles and miles of trails! We so appreciated your hospitality helping to plan my husbands birthday surprises - you really went the extra mile for us. Having "the in cottage" access to such a great wine selection was a real treat and the horseback ride up the fire trails overlooking the ocean was an experience of a lifetime - INCREDIBLE!!!

The Cottage at Muir Beach was the perfect place to stay for our trip to San Francisco. Muir Beach is a short, beautiful drive to Sausalito and San Francisco and Muir Woods for day trips while being able to escape it all in the evening. The house was immaculate, beautiful and welcoming. The ample wrap around deck provided views of the ocean, western San Francisco (including Twin Peaks) and the quaint suprise of two horses in a small paddock just below the property. Beach access provides a lovely walk by the paddock and laces by a few home gardens until ending up at Muir Beach itself. We can't say enough about how peaceful and bright the Cottage is. Views from every room, the constant soft sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep and a tastefully decorated home all make the Cottage my choice for where to stay. I highly recommend staying there whether it is for a romantic getaway or a rejeuvinating escape with the kids (they have a sweet room upstairs with inspiring views of the stars).

One night at The Cottage at Muir Beach and I wanted never to leave. The cottage itself is charmingly decorated and has all the conveniences of home but it was my window open to the night air and the sound of the ocean lulling me to sleep that made me know I would return.
