Thank you for providing a home away from home for our family. We created lots of special Xmas memories during our stay in the Star of the Gulf. It was the perfect size to accommodate all 12 of us for meals while still providing quiet space between the 3 levels of well-designed rooms.
We especially enjoyed the cafe on the corner where Grandpa & grandson had breakfast together several mornings before the rest of us woke up.
The washers/driers were a very practical amenity. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets at the beach and being close to many other restaurants and attractions. The owner was very helpful, responsive, and easy to work with.

None of us really knew what to expect, but all agreed that we couldn't have picked a more homey house that had everything we needed and wanted and then some at such an awesome location! Family Vacation

We came to Star of the Gulf for a week with my family. We had my 3 year old as well as a 14 year old. This place was perfect for all of our needs! There were plenty toys and movies to keep my daughter entertained while the rest of us were getting ready! She loved it! She ask me why we couldnt just live here. It was very close to the beach... just a few steps! Kennys Corner is a little mom and pop type eatery on the corner with delicious home style food. You are never far from anything but you feel secluded with privacy. It was the first week of spring break when we were there, but never heard a noise. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful little piece of heaven with my family!

Best Family Vacation

We love Star of the Gulf! Our young kids and grownups alike enjoyed the powder white sand and gentle sloping beach with just enough wave action for fun rafting and swimming without any worry about safety that we have at other beaches. The House was clean and well maintained, family friendly, a great value, and just steps to the beach. A beautiful area with a lot to offer (tarpon fishing was my favorite), and the owner was very helpful and responsive.
It was the kind of vacation we remembered when we were kids -- carefree, in a charming beach town with surprisingly good restaurants serving bronzed shrimp, amazing cheeseburgers, grouper sandwiches and key lime cheesecake (Wahoo's Waterside Pub), or a big breakfast right down the corner (Kenny's Korner). If you are driving, Disney World and Universal Orlando (Harry Potter's World of Wizardry) probably are on the way.

Amazing Family Vacation

Our time in this home was enjoyed by all! We had a "family reunion" vacation with 4 separate families and this home had all the amenities for a relaxing, worry-free week. The home was clean and the view from the balcony was fantastic! The location made it easy to spend a morning on the beach, go back to the home for some lunch and right back on to the beach for a fabulous afternoon and evening. The games, movies and sand toys provided were great in entertaining the children of all ages. The trolly stop right around the corner made it very easy to make our way to the Pirate Cruise at John's Pass. We will DEFINATELY be back to this home!

Great Stay!

We stayed for three weeks in July 2011. Both the upstairs and downstairs units were very clean and comfortable. The beach is a 30 second walk and is beautiful and not so crowded. If you like to fish, the pier is in walking distance, and you can also fish right from the beach. We even (surprisingly) saw a couple of manatees swim down the beach! If you get tired of the beach (does this actually happen?) it is a short ride to John's Pass, where there is a lot to do. Lots of restaurants and shops there, and we also rented Jet-skis and went on a fishing trip out of there. The grocery store, as well as any other kind of store you need, is within a 10 minute drive. You can walk 100 steps and have a great breakfast or lunch at Kenny's Korner. With 4 kids in tow, there was always something to do. Star of the Gulf was a relaxing, fun vacation. We would definitely return!

Spring Break 2011

Condo was clean and well kept. Owner is very good with communications and quick to address any unforeseen issues that may arise. We have stayed in this area for spring breaks with our children from grade school to now with our youngest now a senior in high school. The area is perfect for adults and kids alike. There is night life if you want to partake, but it doesn't show up on your doorstep. Good family area. Thank you Miriam for an enjoyable stay and your efforts to make everything go smoothly.

We enjoyed your home immensely. My husband is in the Army and we were traveling home for my daughter’s dance competition. Your home gave us the ability to “be at home” and have family there with us. The home is spacious and the proximity to the beach is perfect- just a hop skip and a jump and you are there. Everything you need for a beach getaway is on site. This is a great home.

My friends and I had such a good time!!! The location was great short walk to the beach and conviently located to some great restaurants. We enjoyed Kennys corner for breakfast, Wahoos Grooper sandwich for lunch, and the best all you can eat crab legs at friendly tavern for dinner!!!

"We loved Star of the Gulf!! Plenty of space and it was so nice to have so many things provided for us for the week! We also loved that is was so close to the beach and that the beach was private. We would take walks down the beach and see some places so crowded and be so thankful we were where we were! And it was a great price for all that we got!"
