Getting Away with The Girls

Review Submitted: July 9, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
My two best friends and I stayed at The 1852 House for two nights/three days. It was wonderful!! The house was extremely clean, homey and well equipped! There were a lot of little things that were extra that made this house our home. The back patio was so nice!! We enjoyed sitting out there in the morning while watcing the Koi Fish Pond and we LOVED that there were Fresh Tomatos growing there too!! The location was perfect for walking tours of the squares and the house is very close to the Savannah Visitors Center. A few of our Savannah Favorites are: The River House on Riverwalk, Make sure to have their house salad and their Crab Legs are to die for! (Ask for Bradford - WONDERFUL WAITER); The Bar Bar in City Market was Fun Fun and The Rail was also a blast! We will definately be back to Savannah with more family and friends and we'll definately rebook our stay at the 1852 House!! Thanks Chris!!!

The Perfect House for a Savannah Visit

Review Submitted: October 26, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had such a great stay at the 1852 house. It had all the ambiance necessary to stay in a "Savannah State of Mind". Everything was as promised-spotlessly clean, high-end linens, great location. The owner stopped by to be sure everything was okay for us. Parking was not a problem and although we needed to drive to some attractions, it was nice to be in a quite area at night. Robert Redford is filming a Civil War movie a couple of blocks away! And yes, we did go to Paula Deen's and it was worth it. We walked to many of the squares and museums. We'll be staying here again.

Felt like home

Review Submitted: June 30, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Our family of six including 4 adults and two children spent 3 nights in this home. We commented that it felt so comfotable and homey. The home was elegantly restored and completely modernized, yet felt like we had been transported back in time. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed while there. The location is perfect within blocks of Mrs. Wilks, Foresyth park, Kroger, and Blowin' Smoke BBQ restruant. The owner and property manager were easily reachable and helpful to make the booking and the stay very easy. We would definitely recommed this house for your next stay in Savannah.

My family and I stayed at the 1852 house for a family get together
over Thanksgiving. The house was cozy, comfortable, and full of charm. It was very clean and had everything we needed for an awesome visit. We were also able to walk to River Street and Forsyth Park from the house. I cannot wait until my family and I can stay there again!

The 1852 House was wonderfully comfortable for the four of us for our visit to Savannah. We loved the decor and the beds were very cozy. We would certainly stay here again. Thanks!
