Additional information about Majestic Point: This home is still owned by mother who currently resides in an assisted living home in Bar Harbor. My parents spent over 22 summers here. Most of the oil paintings you'll see were done by my father. I'm sure you will take good care of their home. It holds many special memories for our entire family.
There is a croquet set in the basement you are welcome to set up on the lawn. There are games and cookbooks in the dining room cabinet. The beach is filled with shells and beautiful rocks, bring a bucket to collect some special souvenirs! Anything you find in the house, you are welcome to use. Just leave things where they were for our next guests. I hope you will sign the guestbook on the kitchen table and give us any feedback that you think would make this an even better vacation spot so you will return each year to make your own special memories on Majestic Point! Thank you!
I am currently living in Kentucky, however I am a Maine native. I grew up in Brewer and have spent every summer in Bar Harbor for as long as I can remember. A lot of my relatives are still living in the Bar Harbor area.
This property was purchased by my parents and they built this cottage as their retirement home over 27 years ago. It has served them well as a place for family and friends to gather throughout their golden years. It is a very sentimental place beloved by their children and grandchildren. A lot of wonderful memories were made here.
You can view sunrises from one side of the house and magnificent sunsets from the other end of the house. A lot of wildlife can be seen on land, sea and in the sky from the windows in the house as well as walking around outside.
