We stayed in this duplex for 5 nights and had a fabulous stay. The duplex is very comfortable, very clean and close to everything. It was equipped with everything that my family of 4 needed. We were even blessed with fabulous weather. We will definitely be recommending the property to family and friends visiting Washington.

We really enjoyed our first time in Washington, D.C. in such a peaceful neighborhood. The Guesthouse is filled with every little detail such as a complete guide with recommendations for visiting the DC, exclusive details, excellent in cleanless, and good taste for decor.
When visiting DC again we will surely want to stay here again. Thanks for everything, from Bogota, Colombia.

Wonderful Stay!!

I used to live in D.C. and I decided to bring my parents, sister and nephews to their first to this beautiful city. Our stay was fantastic. The property is in close proximity to three metro stations but most of the time we walked to DC's main museums and touristic sites. I would also recommend using the DC circulator to move around the city.

Gerardo, the owner, was great in providing recommendations for dinner but he also provides guests with maps to get to different points of interest, super markets, shopping mall, etc. It was also nice to find coffee, tea, water, pasta and cereal in the kitchen.

The beds are very comfortable and towels and linens are of great quality. Overall the property is a wonderful option for families. As other guests have pointed out, it is located in a quiet community and it is a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of walking.

A great rental for DC visit

Kent and Christina Castro Valley, CA (San Francisco Bay Area)

We took our teenager to see DC for the first time. Because of her age, she needs privacy and space. This apartment offered what we need at a reasonable price. The rental is tastefully decorated and was very comfortable for the three of us. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and was perfect to come back to rest after our daily visits to the museums and capitol buildings. The nearest museums are about 10 minutes away - with a Metro Station along the way. Our last night was spent with family friends and their little kids for a pizza party. We will remember this trip fondly.

Could have been perfect

The location was perfect. A quiet neighbourhood that is only a 20 min. walk from most attractions and easily accessable by subway. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.

Had it not been for my last night there, I would have vehemently recommended this guesthouse and would have given it a perfect score. However, on my last night, the owners, who’s apartment is upstairs, had a party. Their living area is just above the guesthouse bedrooms. As I had a 10 hour drive ahead of me, my alarm for set for 5:am. By 2:15am, I had had enough of the walking, music and singing and went to sleep on the sofa downstairs. My 16 year old son had to use his ipod to drown out the noise.
Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear she did not have a pleasant experience because of the noise on her last night. However, we would like to note that we don't organize parties because we are very mindful of our guests. That night my mother and sister were invited for dinner and I am sorry to hear we disturbed them. We've had 30+ families stayed with us and we have not received other noise complaints and hope to continue to provide wonderful stays for all of our guests.

Quiet home to recharge after a day touring

GS KC KC, MO
Review Submitted: June 24, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This townhome was perfect for our small party of three. We were able to walk to most everywhere on the mall and use the Circulator bus for points a bit too far to walk. The community is quiet and the beds were wonderful! The kitchen was just the right size for fixing a quick snack or getting breakfast before a day out. The weather kept us from using the patio but it was great to see the pretty courtyard just outside the window.
The property was spotless when we arrived and we were greated with just enough supplies to get us started - we were glad we didnt have to hunt down coffee that first morning! But there is a Starbucks close by for those who need it - and a CVS too!

The wireless internet was a terrific bonus and let us plan the next day's activities and keep up with emails.

The only negatives - if you could call them negatives - was the lack of storage for clothes. There are no drawers to store clothes in and only a few hangers. Luckily we brought a few extra.

This property is a wonderful choice for touring DC and the easy access to the highway made day trips to battle sites, Mt. Vernon and Monticello easy to navigate.
We will be back!

This Is The Way See DC!!

Review Submitted: June 20, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We were extremely pleased with our stay at the guesthouse! It was easy to find, the availability of a parking space was wonderful and the condo is beautiful! Our hosts were very helpful and provided us with a great deal of very useful information regarding the area. It is an easy walk to the bus or metro, but we walked to the National Mall on several days. For us, it was the perfect location! We will definitely be returning to DC and will be staying here when we do. I have already recommended this guesthouse to several of my friends and family who are considering a trip to Washington. Enjoy!

Look no further if you plan to visit DC. This a perfect location-walk to everything! Even had off street parking. The home was clean, well outfitted and offered enough room to relax each evening. The owners were generous and very helpful. We will recommend to anyone we know and we will definately book this gem again!
