Stayed at this condo for two weeks. We've been coming to the big island for 5 years now and this location is by far the best views of all the places we've stayed. Unit is a little older but was perfect for what we were looking for. It was very clean and had some supplies available so didn't have to rush out in morning. The owners got back to all our questions promptly. The unit was as described. It had internet which worked well for us. It was spacious for two people. Neighbors were all very friendly. Owners had snorkel gear, beach chairs and mats available for use. It is right across from Magic Sands beach, where you could watch the surfers and boogie boarders. The beach had washed away this time compared to last year. It was about a 20 minute walk to Kahalu'u Beach(Snorkel Beach) ehich is pretty calm even when the surf is very high at other places. We noticed this year that the shuttles that run along Ali'i Drive ran everyday from around 8 am to 9 pm. They used to only run on ship days. You just flagged them down and they run from Keauhou Shopping Centre back into the downtown of Kona and up to Lanihau Centre shopping. We'd recommend Bongo Ben's for breakfasts.
We definitely will be back to stay at this unit.

Aloha! We stayed here for 8 nights over the 4th of July last year, 2010. We travel to Hawaii quite often and stay in all kinds of places. We liked the quaint building and great location so much I told the owner I may be interested in purchasing the unit if they ever wanted to sell. The fixtures are a litte dated and there are no AC or internet access, but we found it quite comfortable, and being an end unit, very comfortable with the trade winds at night. The unit had a boogie board and some fishing gear as well as some other beach items. The bathroom had a collection of personal care items that was convenient when I cut my hand. The big lanai was great for relaxing and people watching. The soft sandy beach right across the street is a great place for families with smaller kids. All in all we enjoyed it very much and will definitely stay again if we don't buy our own place first. The only thing that I would do if I owned it would be to update the kitchen and bath a little, and add internet access and a flat screen. The owner was prompt and easy to work with.
