Casa Tulipan is located on Ambergris Caye just 2.5 miles south of San Pedro Town. This one bedroom, fully furnished, air conditioned home is set on its own fenced lot and surrounded by private homes with a lush vacant lot behind and quiet neighbors on either side. Casa Tulipan sits just two rows off of the beach with public beach access about 250 meters down the road. From the house you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach, walk to a casual restaurant and resort just down the road, or explore the island by golf cart.
The home is fully furnished with a queen size bed, linens, towels, dishes, and appliances (washer, dryer, microwave, refrigerator, stove, etc.). Cable television and mobile phone are provided. You can purchase phone cards in town for use with the phone. If you don’t wish to cook your own meals, we can arrange for a catering service to shop and cook Belize or American cuisine for you. Parking for golf carts is available inside the yard with a locking gate.
Location: Belize borders Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula to the north, Guatemala to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. To the east lies the Barrier Reef, the second largest in the world, the largest in the Western Hemisphere and famous among divers and sports fishermen.
Ambergris Caye, as a vacation destination, is known for two main items: Fishing and Diving. Since Ambergris Caye is located a short boat ride or flight from the mainland, many other activities are accessible. These could include Maya Ruins sights, bird watching and manatee watching excursions. This makes Ambergris Caye the best destination for the entire family,...not just for saltwater fishing and diving. Click here for more information on Other Activities.
To get to Ambergris Caye you must first fly into Belize City International Airport and then take a short fight on a local airline (approx. 15 mins) to the island.
Belize, known in travel circles as 'Mother Nature's Best Kept Secret.'
Some Non-Fishing Activities: Diving / Snorkeling - Belize has the second largest Barrier Reef in the world and there are plenty of diving and snorkeling excursions that can be booked.
Catamaran Day Cruise - You will snorkel Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley, sail to Caye Caulker for lunch and exploration, and have a leisurely sail back to San Pedro.
Maya Ruins Tour - Lamanai and Altun Ha are the two most popular. These tours not only provide you with the chance to see Maya ruins, but a chance to see lots of different Belizean wildlife such as crocodiles, Iguanas, monkeys, etc.
Zip Lining - For those wishing to take a more adventurous morning, Zip Lining is for you. This is not for the faint of heart, but if you want to experience the tops of the rainforestƒthis is the only way.
Cave Tubing - A wonderful and very relaxing way to experience the rivers and back country of Belize. After visiting the Belize Zoo or Zip Lining and having lunch you will meander through caves on inner tubes.
