Wonderful and Relaxing Time For All :)

Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This is a wonderful rental, and it has wonderful owners who have thought of so much for your stay. The rental was fully stocked with everything but food and your luggage. It was clean, refreshingly decorated, close to the beach, and very comfortable. And, the ownders were very available for questions throughout this whole process.

Finally, we felt as if we were staying in a home, a place that has been truly loved. We would highly recommend this, and we hope to come again.

Outstanding Rental!

Review Submitted: July 10, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Our family of 5 just returned from a fantastic week at this property. We found everything down to the details exactly as described and even better than we expected. The rental was beautiful, extremely clean, spacious and well appointed. We found the property and neighbors delightful. We enjoyed lazy morning walks and bike rides into town for coffee, breakfasts together at the condo, relaxing afternoons at the uncrowded beach, and fun evenings out exploring the area's incredible dining options. The owners are fantastic to work with on all aspects of the rental process. This propert is an absolute
delight and we would love to return again and again! We highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Family Vacation Home

SuzDC Washington DC
Review Submitted: May 13, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Our family recently returned from a wonderful week at Phil and Carole's beach house! The house was gorgeous and had everything we needed or would want. All of the furniture, decorations, dishes, wine glasses, and linens were all top quality and better than we expected (some better than our home!). This property is a great value.

We’ve stayed in the area before, but never in this particular development. Everything was so easy to access – especially the beach, the pool, and tennis courts. It’s just a short drive to all of the major tourist destinations – the Zoo, Sea World, and Legoland. We especially loved the days we just relaxed at “home” sitting on the deck enjoying the sunshine while the children played outside. The neighborhood is so quiet we slept with the windows open.

Carole provided some great recommendations of fun things to do with the kids and great restaurants. They went out of their way to make our visit perfect.

We would recommend this vacation home to anyone with (or without) children. We had such a great time that we’ve already contact Carole about coming next year or sooner.

Thank you Phil and Carole!
Owner's Response: We try very hard to make every family who comes to Sea Bluffe to use our home to make them feel like it is their home for a week or 2. This family seems to have met our goals, and theirs. Thank you! Philip and Carole

"Paradise"

JR in NH Durham, NH
Review Submitted: May 8, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
"Paradise" is what my 3 children call this place, where we have stayed for a week almost every April since 2001. This lovely condo is located just a few steps and a staircase away from the Pacific Ocean, near Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. There are two pools, including one with a hot tub. The condo complex is nicely landscaped and attractive. The condo itself is very open, with skylights offering a view of the sky (usually sunny) and lots of natural light and fresh air. The back of the condo has large glass doors opening onto a deck with a table and lounge chairs, which face towards the ocean. You really feel like you are staying at a friends place rather than a rental, since the dishes, towels, appliances, furniture etc are all very good quality, way better than you would find at most rentals. There are even cozy heavyweight terrycloth robes for a chilly morning! If the pool and beach don't hold your interest, there is plenty to do in the area. Legoland is 10 minutes away, Seaworld, the SD Zoo, and Wild Animal Park are 30-40 min away, Disney is 1 1/2 hours away. There is also Scripps Aquarium in La Jolla and numerous other attractions in San Diego. They just put in a new wide screen flat TV, in case you like to watch TV while on vacation, and get most of the non-movie cable channels. WiFi makes checking your email and connecting to the internet very easy. I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially families with kids, looking for a clean, beautiful place to stay with central location in the San Diego area.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Londoner1 London, England
Review Submitted: April 27, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Have been making the trip to this condo, from the UK once a year for the last four years! Just back from our latest visit of two weeks.

As always we had a faboulous time. We've got two young kids now aged four and six who also adore staying in this beautifully kept property, so close to the beach and two swimming pools!

It's perfect for families, (though wouldn't be bad for myself and wife if we had the time to get away for a break aswell!)

Phil and Carole always been perfect hosts, keeping the place well stocked up, this years upgrade to a new HD TV and wirless internet was an added bonus aswell.

The main reason we keep coming back I guess is it's just so well kept and clean, and so, so comfortable. It's also a great safe community when you're travelling with kids.

Couldn't recomend this enough, have already pencilled in another two weeks next year!!

'Too much inconvenience

ms r Abington,pa, usa
Review Submitted: January 15, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
Nice house in nice community with good community facilities.
House well stocked with linens and kitchen ware etc.,
Description on website misleading. We were under the impression that the house had a whirlpool bathtub. A whirlpool to a lot of people in Europe is a jacuzzi syle tub, not a washing machine. As this is an international site it's important to note the difference. It mentioned whirlpool and hot tub under 'general' and under 'outdoor spa' it says hot tub. It give the impression of 2 separate things.
Originally told the house would be getting digital tv, wifi installed. This was delayed until after our stay and we would only have basic cable. That was fine but we ended up without any tv for 2 days and nights. I had to spend time on the phone with cable co and owner sorting it out plus wait in for the cable guy to come!
We also had a whole day (7am -6.30pm) without water while a new valve was fitted! Perhaps not the best time of year to rent as a lot of work was going on, including digging up a section of the front patio. We came to get away from the usual household problems. Sad thing was that the owner did not offer any compensation for this. When you pay good money to rent a vacation home, you expect to get what you pay for. I expected water and tv each day. It may have been unusual circumstances but then the owner should make unusual resolutions for the renters.
A little too much inconvenience and aggravation for what was otherwise a pleasant stay.
Owner's Response: After more than 5 years of renting our home, and receiving dozens of compliments and many repeat customers, we have received a complaint. That person has several mis-statements in the text. First of all, the family received a 10 day rental at a very significant discount. Secondly, 2 of her complaints involve public utilities over which we have no control. Another error is that she stated that the patio was dug up by the Cox cable workers -- a false claim. Also, there are several amenities listed in the general section but she interpreted that to mean there was a jacuzzi tub in the home. The City Water Works were replacing all the control valves in the community and she was told to collect emergency water on a certain day. The city workers finished their job even earlier than expected and returned water service. She was told by me, personally, that there was no reason for her to be present for the water to come back on, just as she was told that the Cox TV service rep. would be working outside the house.
We have worked very hard for over 5 years to present our home in a very comfortable way for the guests. Our home is constantly upgraded and is kept spotless. Our record of compliments covers 2 books of entries and not one complaint. I can only ask that the families who look at our listing remember that we are very proud of our home and they will enjoy their stay -- we guarantee it! Phil and Carole
