This Condo Has it All

Very convenient location (you can walk to the Ma'alaea Harbor for whale watching trips and to the attached shopping area), great views for whale watching (in season) right from the lanai, and a beautifully decorated and furnished condo (definitely a feeling of luxury).
Carey and Warren have done a wonderful job furnishing and decorating this unit - it is as shown in the pictures and we felt very much at home here. We enjoyed having our meals out on the lanai and being able to watch so many whales while we ate.
In addition to the activities and restaurants Carey recommends, we add the following:
- Tradewinds, the little store in the building right next to the harbor - their chili dogs and their daily specials are very tasty and priced right and their papayas were very flavorful.
- The cranberry chicken salad sandwich at The General Store down at the harbor was delicious and perfect for a picnic lunch for side trips up to the high country.
- Da Kitchen back in Kahului (about a 15 minute drive) is excellent for large helpings of local food - try the Polynesian Panic Moco Bowl - YUM!
- Lastly, if you want to try authentic Filipino food, Manila Bistro on Wakea Blvd is very good.
We definitely plan on coming back and would recommend this unit to our friends and family. Carey was most helpful with the booking process and was prompt in returning our security deposit. This is a jewel in Ma'alaea and is a wonderful alternative to the crowded, touristy locations on Maui.

Fabulous 25th Anniversary in Maui

We had a fabulous time in Maui. The condo is beautiful. It had everything we needed. We got to see the whales from the Lanai and watch the sun come up over the mountain every morning. Listening to the ocean 24/7 was fabulous. Thank you for being so accommodating and patient when working we us on our travel plans. Lastly we appreciate all your recommendation for things to see and do.

A great find!

Sipping Kona coffee in chilly, grey Vermont is not the same as enjoying a sunrise cup on your lanai overlooking Ma'alaea Bay! Maui has certainly changed since I was last there 25 years ago, but Ma'alaea offered us a taste of the way the island once was. This beautifully updated condo is central to everything, affording us comfortable day trips to all parts of the island, nearby shops, restaurants (but who wants to dine out when you can cook on a grill overlooking the bay!) the Maui Arts Center, etc. We loved our morning strolls along the beach and walking to the newly renovated Ma'alaea General Store (excellent casual menu, coffee, necessities, and great atmosphere). Our vacation weather was perfect each day and I'm convinced that a daily dose of 82 degrees and trade winds is what keeps the island so friendly and relaxed. We look forward to returning to the paradise of your condo!

My husband & I came to Maui for our 22nd anniversary and decided to stay part of the time in a condo and the other part at a resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo and would definitely stay here again. As the pictures show, the owners have taken great care in decorating their condo beautifully and it is spic & span! The view from the balcony was wonderful. I'd love to come visit again when the whales are coming through as you'd get quite a show right from the balcony. The condo was well-stocked with all the beach necessities as well as everything else you can think of. It's w/i walking distance to the shopping & restaurants and a good location also if you plan to explore the island. Carey was wonderful at providing tips and ideas for the area which made our stay even better. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a clean, quiet, well-appointed and convenient place to stay while in Maui.

Just amazing!

This condo was unbelievable from the moment we opened the door. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, absolutely perfect! The pictures listed were completely accurate. Our nine year old loved the pool, it felt like it was our own private one! The complex was very nice, small and private, not like the busy resort types. The managers kept the place so clean and tidy. The condo was in a very central location close to both the East and West coast activities if you felt like leaving this area. The Maalea Harbour was right next door with an awesome little farmer's market, shops and the Maui Ocean Center. We had booked another accomodation for our second week thinking we should be closer to the east side to take in the morning sunrise at Haleakala and for traveling the Hana highway, however, this place would have been fine. We watched the morning sunrises over Haleakala every day. We were amazed to watch turtles and even a monk seal every morning from the lanai. The whales were still around to give us wonderful displays, incredible!! We would highly recommend this condo, the owners were so easy to deal with and made sure the place was everything we could ask for. This was our first time using this type of rental accomodation and we will definitely be doing it again. We are already looking at the calendar wondering when we can come back!

Absolutely Perfect!

What a wonderful stay we had at this condo! The owners definitely thought of everything that you could possibly need and had it there for you. Wonderfully decorated and furnished, made you feel you were staying in a five star hotel! The pictures provided are very accurate but don't capture the actual warmth you feel as soon as you open the door to the lanai and see the sun rising over Haleakala!! Amazing! We were up every morning before sun rise just to see this!! Our nine year old loved this place and the pool! The complex is very quiet, clean and well kept. The Ma'alaea Harbour shops had a farmer's market where we got the best fruit, our son met an author there, and saw some great artwork. We really enjoyed the Maui Ocean Center and then when we went snorkeling we knew what we saw! It was centrally located, easy to travel to all the highlights of Maui. The owners were very helpful, giving lots of helpful hints to Maui and places to see, It was our first time using VRBO, a totally easy process to book and I felt the owners were just a phone call away if needed. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Maui.We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful, quiet retreat

This condo is located in a quiet area but has easy access to many other parts of Maui. You have everything you need for a peaceful stay - comfortable sleeping area, fully stocked kitchen with basic condiments, a full entertainment system, lovely multispray shower, beach equipment and ocean views off the deck. We saw whales several mornings and appreciated the binoculars and even a telescope! Dish washing detergent, laundry soap and softener were provided. We had a great stay and know you will too!

Great View, Modern Condo!

This condo was very updated and had a great view and is ocean/bay front. The complex is older, but very well kept and quiet. Nice pool/BBQ area. Condo is located in a central location and very comfortable. A swimable beach is about a 10 minute walk. Several restaurants are within walking distance and if you take any boat trips from the harbor , you can walk there! My only minor complaint would be the hot water tank, it's really small, but overall the condo is great!

This unit has been beautifully updated. The building is quiet and the grounds are immaculate. The nearby beach is perfect for taking long walks. The owners were helpful and very easy to work with. We would come back to this condo.
