The rental was correct in all listings. The owners are great folks and definitely make you feel welcome. The inside of the rental was very clean and lots of room. The path to the lake is somewhat hilly if you are a older person. But, once on the dock was very nice and relaxing. Very quiet and peaceful and we will definitely visit again.

Lovely vacation!

We spent a week early last summer (2010) at this property. It was roomy and well maintained and the dock was great for swinging in the two-seater swing and watching the heron fish. Our dogs and their humans enjoyed swimming in the cove. Pond shoes are a good idea for wading. We enjoyed it so much we're hoping to be back for 2 weeks this year.

We spent a fabulous week at the lake with the added bonus of the weather. It was easy to find and close to all types of shops and restaurants. The view from the house was gorgeous and would definitely recommend it. Our only problem is that we brought linens but did not realize you had to bring blankets as well. The days were warm but the nights were cool. The walk from the house to the lake was not bad at all and we spent many hours sitting there. Caught some fish from the dock as well. My daughter wanted to stay longer.

What a wonderful stay we had at this very clean, very well maintained lake house! I must say that my husband and I were most relaxed after spending a week here. The location is very private yet within a couple of miles of great restaurants, marinas, and shopping. The boat dock was a perfect spot to spend our days! Our morning walks around the neighborhood were peaceful as well. Best of all, we were able to take our dog Lily on vacation with us! Lily loved her stay as much as we did. We will definitely return again and recommend it to anyone looking for a private, peaceful, relaxing location. A big thank you to the owners!

My husband and I enjoyed our week on the property. Wish we could have stayed for two weeks. The rental was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We felt very much at home. We spent many enjoyable hours relaxing and grilling on the deck. The view from the deck looks directly down to the lake. Lots of trees with plenty of shade. Nice breeze most days. The lake is large and beautiful. Especially enjoyed the swing at the end of the pier. Spent many hours reading and swinging. The owners were wonderful and helped make our vacation memorable. Hope to return next year.

SML is the best

Our first vacation at SML was fantastic. Everything was better than anticipated. The location being close to Food Lion and the Mariner where we rented our boat was great. The mobile home was just what we needed. It was very clean and the paddle boat was fun. We even were able to catch a few fish from the dock. As others have said the owners were so nice and accommodating to us. We definitely would rent this property again.

Wonderful, Relaxing Place on the Lake

Having never rented a house, I didn't know what I was going to see, but I absolutely love this place! I've been twice, and can't wait to go back again! The listing is very accurate, and the owners very nice. I've told everyone about this place, from walking in to the living room and seeing the lake in the windows right across from the door, to walking through the whole place - there is not anything I didn't like! I didn't even use half of the home, as the master bedroom is at one end of the home, with a huge master bathroom with my favorite thing - the garden tub! I love just relaxing in there! There is also a separate shower, and a vanity with 2 sinks. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are in the middle of the house, with the 2nd bedroom and 2nd full bath at the other end of the house. There is a lot of land around it for kids, but the walk to the lake is downhill, so is a bit hard to get to for anyone that has a hard time walking. There were boats out in the little cove fishing every morning, so bring your fishing equipment! I will be back in the spring, for sure!

Excellent vacation home, near Halesford Bridge (Rte 122). Well kept dock, small beach, quiet cove. Close to restaurants, shops (Bridgewater across the brdige has a number of shops, food, visitor center, bar and grill, mini-golf), D-Day Memorial, Booker T Washington Museum.
