Built in May of 2006, Island Vista is located on the 'Golden Mile', a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by multi-million dollar homes. This is one of the most beautiful and least crowded areas in Myrtle Beach. Located on over 500 feet of sandy beach, the complex contains 2 outdoor pools and one outdoor jacuzzi, one indoor pool, jacuzzi and lazy river, on-site 4 star restaurant serving breakfast and dinner daily and an outdoor 'Tiki Hut' serving lunch and your favorite frozen drink, beer, cocktail or beverage. They also serve a yummy lunch.
The condo is very spacious (50% larger than the typical Myrtle Beach Suite) and is highlighted with granite countertops in the kitchen and all bathrooms. The Master Bath contains both a jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower. Bedrooms two and three each have their own full bathroom for ultra convenience. There is a large kitchen and a FULL SIZE washer and dryer. The large balcony has an entry from both the family room and Master Bedroom.
My wife Lisa and I were married in April of 2007 on the property of our condo at Island Vista. We have 2 children, Michael age 15 and Morgan age 12. My wife treats them as her own and we love to spend quality time together at the beach. I am a general contractor in the Baltimore area and Lisa is a physician's assistant at a multi-specialty healthcare group specializing in primary care.
My wife and I have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for the past 20 years and we were finally able to purchase a place of our own. After an exhausting search we stumbled upon 'Island Vista'. Our condo was built in 2006 with all first class amenities and is tastefully decorated in a 'British West Indies' flare. Known as 'Island Vista', our condo has a true resort feel and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood known as the 'GOLDEN MILE'. Located on over 500 feet of sandy beach, Island Vista is situated on one of the least crowded areas in Myrtle Beach. You will be near the action and away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. As soon as we walked on the property of Island Vista, we knew this was the place we would call home.

On another note... make sure not to stay during either bike week. Traffic is horrendous to say the least.

Gary Is An Excellent Owner and Easy to Work With
This was our first time using VRBO and he made it a pleasant experience for us and reassured us that we could use this route to book our vacation, instead of using a large realty company.

At the same time, I was trying to get information from one of the big commercial condo rental companies and they were slow to respond to my emails, so I started calling them. They really didn't seem to understand how to do sales or customer service well. I thought them a bit rude.
It really made my dealings with this owner stand out against how I was treated by the large management company on the phone and in email.

In fairness to all, we did not actually book this unit, because after careful consideration, we wanted to stay the whole week and Gary did not have the whole week available. As I said before he only had 5 out of 7 days available. But he was so good to us in answering questions and negotiating on that partial week, that I wanted to put some positive feed back on his review board.
