Our stay was at the Deer House Lodge, just south of Bragg Creek, Ab. It was a magnificent place. Very rustic and a the same time, completely modern. Very peaceful and serene, stunning views and lots of wildlife to observe. There were 8 of us staying at the cabin and we had more than enough room, very spacious and very comfortable. Our family was here from England and could not get over the beauty of the place, they had a fabulous time and we all hated to say good-bye to the cabin, we all fell in love with it, it felt just like home.

Hopefully, one day we will make the trip back and spend more time there. A big thanks to Paola and Alvise for their warm hospitality and beautiful property.

Had a fantastic couple days hanging with the family. Playing games by the fire; skating on the pond; visiting the horses, cats and chickens. Even the weather cooperated. Will definitely be returning!

We (2 adults and one 3 year old) stayed here for one week in February. We loved the house and the location. The house is warm (even at minus 30 degree Celsius at night!)and spacious with a lot of very tasteful and practical details. Spacious kitchen (with everything), living room (with huge fire place- free fire wood included!) and great (warm!) glass/timber extension with dining table and "library"(with rocking chair!). The setting (white-timber fenced grassland surrounded by woods) is wonderful with some old (renovated) red and white painted farm buildings and sheds nearby.(Our son loved to watch the chicken (thanks for the eggs, Alvise!) and horses and to pet the cats there). We saw some deer walking over the premises and (on the early morning of our departure!) two moose were nibbling away on some willows at the bottom of one of the fields! (visible from our dining room)
Paola and Alvise are both very nice, friendly and helpful. They gave us great advise about the area and local attractions. Travel to Calgary is 35mins and to Canmore (Rocky Mountains) is 55mins on excellent roads.
We should have rented cross country ski (well at least one of us parents) on the first day (available at hardware store in Bragg Creek-5 minute drive), but often preferred to explore the estate by foot or just relax inside the very "gemuetlich" log house villa. In Bragg Creek there are two grocery shops, a post office, a pharmacy, petrol station and a couple of nice looking shops and restaurants as well. We made trips to Banf (beautiful mountain views and high street shopping) and Calgary (the "half-pipe" at the Olympic Center is a must for snowboarder!), but were always happy to come back for dinner to our log house villa. Well- what else? 3 full double bedrooms plus 1 upstair "secret" room with a double mattress (great for kids) and two bathrooms would make this property an ideal place even for large families (or two small ones!) or groups of friends. It's a nice place to relax and a great location between Calgary and the Rocky Mountains.
We would love to come back (in summer?) and strongly recommend this property to our family and friends.

Thank you so much for introducing us to your wonderful cabin we had an amazing time. It was nice to have sometime on our own away from the children although, we love them dearly! Next time will bring them to enjoy this piece of paradise!

A great place to hold our “Big Kids Christmas” party. Lots of space for the grandkids to play. Wonderful ambience. Friendly feel to it.
