We stayed at Coconut Corner for two weeks in February 2009. The other times we have been to Oahu we have stayed with family in the Kahala area. We have since had two more children and were looking for someplace for all five of us to stay. This was perfect. The description provided is right on. There were no surprises, Greg and Cindy were helpful and kind while providing privacy. Our children, ranging in age from 3 - 8, loved Zippy the cat and still talk about him now. One of the best things about staying in Kailua is that you are forced to explore the island! We took the Pali and/or H3/ Hwy 72 more often than when we stayed closer to Waikiki and never got tired of looking at the scenery. We had a great time, this was the perfect place to stay and introduce our children to Hawaii.

Real Life of Hawaii

We spent 1 week to feel a real life of Hawaii. The room capacity was good for 2 adults and 1 kid. The floor was clean to be barefoot. We were provided enough amenities (beach chairs, boogie boards, beach mat, cooler box...). The guide books and maps provided were in Japanese for us! Laundry machine was available to use anytime. The kitchin was well furnished. We cooked and packed pasta, stakes and spam rolls to the beach every day. Our favorite shop is Agnes' Portuguese Bake Shop on the way to the beach. The malassada was awesome. Greg and Cindy were very experienced owners. Their 2 boys were very nice and played DS with my 9 year-old daughter. I'm going to recommend this rental to my friends fed up with the stay in Waikiki and Honolulu.
Owner's Response: We enjoyed hosting you and hope we see you again.
Aloha,
Greg

What a great home away from home to arrive to after an entire day of traveling! Coconut Corner was actually more spacious than we had thought and very child friendly, especially having the high chair and playpen. In fact, it was very well-equipped for everything, cooking, laundry, beaching, ironing (I know, who irons on vacation?). The bed and futon were comfortable, everyone slept well. We were there for my sister's wedding and it was an extremely hectic week. It was wonderful to have a perfect little home base!

We spent one week at Coconut Corner with our three teenager daughters and had a wonderful time. It suited us well, however, a smaller group would be even better. Greg provided great driving directions from the airport and it was a perfect location for day trips. We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs and access to laundry facilities. The suite was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed my morning coffee and my evening wind-down on the covered lanai- a great neighbourhood setting. Wonderful area for your daily walk or run as well. I would recommend this property and would like to stay there again.

Just wonderful accommodations! My sister lives in Kailua and we had her family of four over to Coconut Corner for a BBQ and to play cards and it was spacious and there was room for everyone. Our baby crawled everywhere inside and it was safe and fun for him. Greg even provided a high chair. We really appreciated the beach equipment - beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards etc. so we didn't have to rent any of those things. Great laundry facilities. We will definately stay there on our next trip!

This vacation rental was perfect for the two of us. We wanted a full kitchen, bath, parking area and a good night sleep. It had all this and more. The location is in a nice, safe neighborhood with restaurants and shopping close by.
We stocked up on groceries from Safeway and Costco. We ate our breakfast and dinners at the rental and packed our lunches every day. We put 488 miles on our rental car exploring this beautiful island. The owner (Greg) is very knowledgeable and helpful with anything you may need. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I rented the Coconut Corner for my parents this August for 6 days. They loved it. Thought it was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Greg and Cindy were very prompt and courteous in returning emails and greeting us when we arrived.

We stayed at Coconut Corner July 31 - Aug 7, 2008 and have really enjoyed it. Condo is spacious enough to accommodate a family of 4. Quiet neighborhood, yet close to the beach, shops, restaurants and easy drive to Honolulu. Free use of beach chairs, boogie boards and gas grill was a nice bonus. We would definitely stay here again

Thank you very much for letting us stay. We stayed from May21st to May28th. We could really enjoy the local life at the cozy nice house. We went to the Kailua beach every day. Though this was our first time in Hawaii, we're sure that we made the right decision.
