Absolutely awesome experience. There this August! This Villa was perfectly comfortable & clean, a great place to come back to after a long play day. A week was not long enough and the accommodations only made it harder to leave. Views were so calming and peaceful. This property is Magna cum Laude!

Perfect Seclusion -- A Great Escape!

Randy H. Minneapolis, MN
Review Submitted: July 20, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We rented Palmyra for a week in May 2009. It was spacious, clean and most of all private! The huge deck area around the pool had plenty of room for all 8 of us to relax in the lounge chairs and take a dip in the pool.

The location is very quiet for Vieques! No street noise, noisy neighbors, we felt entirely at home and it was one of the best vacations our family ever had. We did the bio bay tour, and Brian the house owner, gave us tons of websites, information, restaurant recommendations, directions to beaches, and grocery stores, bars, liquor stores etc., which was so helpful in making our vacation such a wonderful experience. It was the perfect remedy to a very long cold winter!

We stayed in this house for 2 weeks in Jan. There was a large group of us including small children. Karl picked us up at the airport and provided all the necessary baby furniture, cribs, highchairs etc. When there was a small glitch, Brian, the owner was available and very accommodating. The terrace with the ocean view was a great hangout and the local beach was great for swimming and sea glass hunting. The beaches on the island are superb and fun for all and the restaurants delicious and child friendly. The island is friendly, beautiful and worth exploring. Make sure you do the biobay.

Great house for big group

Review Submitted: April 18, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Our 2 families of 4 stayed in April '09. The caretaker (Daniel) met us at the dock, showed us around town, and got us to the house. He was prompt and helpful. He also got us back to the airport at departure. The house was clean and although the rooms were small, it met our needs perfectly. The upstairs terrace had a beautiful view and the perfect place for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The lower deck and pool were perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The hen and rooster that came by each morning (we named them Archie and Edith) provided a natural alarm clock.
We loved Vieques. It is the perfect blend of relaxation, natural beauty, and a perfect climate.

Stay at Villa Palmyra!

Cori Ann Baltimore, MD, USA
Review Submitted: March 14, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
I spent a week at Villa Palmyra with my fiance and a few family members. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation! It was well-equipped, with linens, kitchen supplies, beach towels and umbrellas, etc. The ocean breeze that blows nicely through the house, as well as the sound of the ocean, creates such a peaceful atmosphere. It is well-maintained and very private. Just a short drive to town for groceries or dinners out. Vieques is absolutely beautiful, with some of the most pristine (and non-crowded) beaches we have seen. In the months leading up to our trip, Brian, the owner of the house, provided a ton of helpful information, and was always willing to answer questions. It made planning the trip so much easier. And, Karl, the house manager on the island, was always available and very helpful as well. He was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived; he took us to get our rental jeep, showed us around the island, and escorted us to the house. Our visit to Vieques was a wonderful experience!

Villa Palmyra rocks!!!

My husband and I and another couple went to villa palmyra last march. We were thoroughly impressed with the house. It is nicely decorated and the views are outstanding. The large windows catch the breeze off the mountaintop and bring the island right into the house. The weather was fantastic, not a cloud in the sky. We dined at several local restaurants which were all amazing. We had cocktails at the gringo bar, and looked for sea glass on the beach in front there "glass beach" and came home with jars full which was a great keepsake. We also dined off the beaten path in the other villages on the island while exploring all of Vieques. Definately go to a local store and buy the beach guide book, it is written by a local and really helps you figure out which beaches you are interested in seeing. I would definately go back, the accomadations were fantastic. We were able to cook breakfast, make cocktails, lay out by the pool, walk down to a small beach and all while looking at the beautiful water views. Vieques truly has some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in the world.

The Land of Paradise!

Savannah Brown San Francisco California
Review Submitted: September 7, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2007
My stay here last October 2007 was so fantastic! This is truly the most beautiful place! The villa was well cared for, the grounds were very well maintained. The pool was clear and a wonderful way to our end our day!

We got picked up promptly from the airport and were shown around the island before being dropped off. They even called us the next day to make sure everything was going okay for us!

It was very peacful. The beaches were the most beautiful. Very easy to get to by the jeep that was at our disposal.

The beds were very comfortable as well to sleep in. There were even books to choose from their library if you forgot to bring one of your own.

The island people were very friendly and the restaurants had great food and great service while we were there.

I would go back in a hreat beat and stay here again!

Just wanted to say how wonderful our stay was and how impressed we were with Palmyra & Vieques. Not only were the views and weather fantastic, but we were in awe of how meticulously maintained the house was and the owners specific attention to details– from the decor, to the sheets & tableware, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting to share our silver anniversary at.
Having traveled extensively though the years, it's few & far between that you come across a house & an island such as this. We've already recommended Palmyra to some of the other cardiologists at the hospital and will certainly be cherishing our memories for years to come! Should you ever make your way to the Beverly Hills area, please let us know.

Best Regards,

Bettina & Robert
