I just returned from spending a long weekend at this quaint beach cottage and am already working on planning my next trip. This house was perfect for a wonderful mother-daughter weekend and provided unlimited amounts of activities. We laughed at the idea that although we had nothing to do but relax the weekend seemed to fly by as we kept ourselves busy walking the beach, fishing in the ocean kayaks, watching the dolphins and manatee swim from the front porch, and of course watching the breathtaking sunset each evening. The seclusion of this island made it ideal for the perfect getaway and the location of the cottage was perfectly convienant as the boat taxi was able to drop us off right on the front porch. We spent so much time lounging on the beautiful deck taking in the view and watching the wildlife. The deck had a great outdoor swing, hammock, and array of lounge chairs to choose from for when we wanted to unwind. Although we spent the vast majority of our time outdoors, the inside of house was cozy and functional. It was complete with all the necessary kitchen appliances and utensils and in the evenings we could unwind is the cozy living room. Our favorite part might have been the XM radio that could be played throughout the cottage to add to the easy beach getaway feel of the cottage.
